Caolion Pore Sebum Control Moisture Stick Review

Skin type: oily-sensitive, acne prone

Hello beauties,

Hope you all are doing great and enjoying the festive month. We also got to attend many memorable events and the party is still on. We’ll complete our six years of togetherness soon too. So, yay! I have fallen in love with the fall season, thanks to all the festivities here in the US. I believe this is the essence of being human – to embrace and enjoy everything that comes along. Not to forget, all these festivals teach us to share happiness with our loved ones, whether we’re celebrating Halloween or Diwali or Thanksgiving. Anyway, this explains my absence from IMBB. 😛 I was exploring and discovering myself throughout. By the way, let’s talk about my review today. This stick is like a life-saver for oily skinned beauties. Let’s read more about the Caolion Pore Sebum Control Moisture Stick.

My Experience with Caolion Pore Sebum Control Moisture Stick:

The hydrating stick comes in a plastic, retractable, chubby bullet packaging with a transparent plastic safety cap along with pink twist over cap. I do sense a nice fragrance while applying it on the skin; the scent is certainly not bothering and/or overpowering. Overall, I find it quite basic, hygienic, user-friendly and travel-friendly packaging.

The moisture stick appears solid and firm in packaging while it gives a slightly cool and damp feel when I dab it on my skin. In fact, it leaves a dewy look on my skin for a couple of minutes. This dewy look soon gets absorbed by my skin, leaving behind refined pores and matte skin. It almost feels like a primer in a retractable stick form to me, just that this is lightweight in texture as compared to other pore refining primers. I have also tried the The Estee Edit by Estee Lauder Pore Vanishing Stick; if I compare both, this Caolion feels better to me. The Estee Lauder one often clings to my dry skin while this Caolion stick does not feel dry or waxy at all.

Moreover, I see nice smooth base post application as it becomes smooth and almost undetectable beneath layers of foundation. This is quite unlike the Estee Lauder one as it results into patchy makeup. Considering I have now crossed my 30s, I am seeing some changed in my skin. I have noticed that it has become kind of dry. But so far, my skin is liking the feel of this hydrating stick. I have been using this product for the past 1-2 months and the weather is really tricky (read worst) here which often shows ill effects on our health and skin. But so far, I have not experienced any unusual dryness and/or sudden increase in breakouts with this product.

Now talking about the results, my skin feels pretty shine-free and smooth for considerable 5-6 hours, thereby my skin turns dewy in a good sense. It is quite common for my T-zone to turn oily after the 6th hour mark, by the way. I believe this stick will be tricky for extremely oily skin, especially in summers. But this would work well for normal-combination skin. It is definitely suitable for beauties with acne prone skin.
