I did not believe that body washes did anything than just that, wash my body. But after being introduced to the world of Victoria’s Secret and Olay body washes I figured, hey- anything is possible! Those are my staple body washes to use because they are creamy and luxurious and they leave both me and my bathroom smelling absolutely great. Their fragrances really do linger on even after my bath and they definitely have some pretty fragrances too. Caress is another such brand that I recently discovered after using it at someone else’s home that has a pretty bomb scent! I really wanted to buy one but they were too expensive. Now every woman’s heart loves a bargain, whether you find something on sale or actually bargain and save a few pennies. So when I found this Caress Body Wash on sale recently my heart simply just melted away!

This Caress Aqua Sparkle Body Wash absolutely made my day! I found it in the Lilac Blossom and Aquamarine Essence fragrance and it could not have been any better. This body wash comes in a simple and hassle free flip top lid packaging. The bottle is plastic and is recyclable. The product itself is a soothing blue colour as you can see through the transparent plastic of the bottle- very aqua sparkly!

My experience with the Caress Aqua Sparkle Lilac Blossom and Aquamarine Essence Body Wash:

You should see the print ads for this thing. They make it look so pretty with those tiny purple flowers that you just want to eat it. Erm, maybe it is just me and my thing I have for body washes. Anyhoo! The top notes of this fragrance are of citrus (mandarin) and olive flower. The heart note is that of magnolia, lotus flower and watery lilac blossom and the base note is finally powdery, musky and woody. Now does that not sound at all delicious? Their website says that this is “A concoction to evoke cheerful, invigorating and sassy feelings”. Hey I want to feel sassy! And at $2.58 I get to feel it all day baby!

The House of Caress’ motto is ‘Feel Fabulous. Do Fabulous’. I could not agree more. This body wash definitely makes me feel fabulous as I emerge out the shower but it remains to be seen that it actually makes me do fabulous things! Haha! The fragrance of this body wash is not overpowering or strong in any way at all. It is rather very mild and soothing, a bit like some aromatherapy early in the morning and it literally is a burst of fragrance as soon as I start lathering. I hate it when I get a headache from fragrances and this does not do that for me and this smells very clean. I use about a dollop on my Loofah for plenty of lather. This lathers very easily and gives me a clean feeling. Also it has been performing very well with my sensitive skin. I also like the shape of the bottle and like that it does not slip out of my hands and that I can grasp it quite easily.This definitely leaves my skin feeling soft but sadly my particularly dry legs still need moisturising afterwards so I would not say that it has any moisturising properties. But it is a light and happy fragrance that also does not clash with my perfume as well. I like that it does not leave any residue too really giving you that squeaky clean feel. It is also perfect after a long day!

Pros of Caress Aqua Sparkle Lilac Blossom and Aquamarine Essence Body Wash:

• Great light scent, not overbearing
• Lathers well
• Leaves no residue
• Bottle is very feminine but yet sturdy

Cons of Caress Aqua Sparkle Lilac Blossom and Aquamarine Essence Body Wash:

At full price it is a bit expensive!

Would I repurchase or recommend the Caress Aqua Sparkle- Lilac Blossom and Aquamarine Essence Body Wash?
I do not think I will get lucky enough again to be able to grab these on sale but if you see them pick one up for yourself for sure! They’re great! I would not purchase them on full price even though I really like this because my other favourite, Olay does its body washes for half this price.
