My Experience with Caress Love Forever Body Wash:
The packaging of this body wash is lovely with red roses on a black background, it looks absolutely sensual and it’s what made me pick this body wash. Caress Love Forever Body Wash comes in a black plastic bottle with a flip top cap. It has a hole on the top to dispense the product. Since mine is a travel-sized bottle, it comes with a screw top cap. It has a wide opening and one has to be a bit careful while dispensing the product.
The body wash is a bit runny in consistency, or may be I feel it’s that way. 😉 I mean it is runnier than most of the Bath and Body Works shower gels that I have been using from so many days. It does not have a gel-like formula, like the ones from BBW. The body wash is a very pretty plum shade with a pearlescent glow.
This body wash lathers very well, so only a quarter size amount is enough for a single use. Even this small bottle will last me for quite some time. 😉 It washes off easily and does not leave any residue on my skin. Also, it does not make my dry skin more dry and stretchy. Anyway, body moisturizers are a must for me.
Now coming to the fragrance, I purchased this one mainly because I have heard many good things about how Caress body washes smell. And this one seemed apt, just in time for Valentine’s day. 😉 I loved it when I took the first sniff of the body wash, but as soon as I used it in the shower, my happiness vanished. 🙁 The top notes are fresh and fruity and awesome, but they go away very quickly and I couldn’t even sniff the flowery ones when the musky notes arrived. They are the most dominant ones and my whole shower was filled with musky fragrance, and I am not at all fond of musky fragrances. 🙁
Also, regarding the “fragrance release pearls,” this seems more like a marketing gimmick to me. I could not feel a burst of perfume every time I touched my skin. Maybe that holds true if you do not apply any moisturizer which is not possible given my dry skin and super cold weather central heating.
Pros of Caress Love Forever Body Wash:
- Not pricey.
- Only a quarter-sized amount produces enough lather.
- Does not make my dry skin any more dry or stretchy.
- Washes off easily and does not leave any residue.
- Beautiful packaging.
- Comes in a travel-sized version too.
Cons of Caress Love Forever Body Wash:
- Base notes are very overpowering.
- I am not a fan of musky fragrance.
- Runny consistency.
Would I Repurchase/Recommend Caress Love Forever Body Wash?
Well, no. I am not going to repurchase it as I did not like the fragrance. I would recommend it to you if you are a fan of woody and musky fragrances.
