My Experience with Cargo Dubai Essential Lip Color:
The Cargo Essential Lip Color includes 12 shades, all named after some famous cities in the world. The shade Dubai is aptly described as ‘burnt nude’ on their website. It comes in a sleek, metallic tube container, giving it an expensive look. When you look at the lipstick, it looks like a shade of brown. However, when you swatch it or put it on the lips, it looks a lot lighter, almost like a coral-nude-brown color. It doesn’t have any extraordinary smell or taste. I think this could be the perfect nude shade for desi skin tones. Infact, I feel many skin tones will be able to pull it off. The color doesn’t wash me out, since the shade almost looks a little closer to my natural lips. However, I wouldn’t go out without accentuating my eyes when I have this on.
On applying, I find the lipstickto be very opaque, and moisturizing. The texture is creamy and it imparts a shine, which looks healthy and nothing too over the top. Within a couple of minutes, the fine lines on my lips disappears. After leaving it on for a while, my lips also seemed a lot fuller and plumper. Only when I satdown to write this review, I found that these folks claimed the aforementioned.
So full points on that! It doesn’t bleed, neither does it transfer too much. I mean, you don’t reach that point of annoyance when anything your lips have touched, has a mark on it :P. It doesn’t even feel like I have a thick layer on my lips. With talking, eating and taking pappis of cute nieces, I’d say this lasted on me pretty well. Around 5-6 hours. Again, dry lips beauties will like this formula, and I’m positive every other person will do too. Make sure you swatch it and try it on your lips before you buy it, since this one looks a lot different when you seeit in the case and when you apply it. I’m super happy with this purchase, and I can only hope that Cargo products are much more easily available in India 😀
