How are you all? Today’s review is of another lip balm from my recent haul. This is from the brand called Carmex. Carmex is an American brand which deals in lip care and skin care products. They have some really amazing lip balms and I wanted to own one since a long time and when I got the chance, I bought a couple of them. Read on to know more about this lip balm.

Product Description:

Carmex seals in lip moisture and helps to prevents drying of lip tissue. Carmex lip balm provides SPF 15 which is recommended for people who burn and tan minimally. Carmex stick formula extra-protective against the elements. Strawberry Stick provides broad spectrum (UVA/UVB) sun protection and up to 80 minutes of water resistance. All that, with a pleasant strawberry flavor.

My Experience with Carmex Strawberry Flavored Lip Balm:

This lip balm comes in three variants – cherry, strawberry and plain. I have bought strawberry as it smells amazingly sweet and fruity and makes you feel like eating it.  The balm comes in the form of a click stick with a twist up mechanism; just look at the packing, how cute is that. These stick like balms are very convenient and easy to use, also they are very hygienic in terms of storage. Honestly, I had bought it only for its packaging and did not know how it would be like, but glad that I bought it.

This is by far the best lip balm I have ever used. It is extremely moisturizing and not at all greasy. It soothes dry lips and completely heals chapped lips within a day. The texture of the balm is very smooth. It has petrolatum so the texture is jelly like. The balm keeps my lips soft and moisturized for a good 6 hours without any need for re-application, but I still re-apply it every 3-4 hours for that extra UV protection.

With continuous usage, this lip balm will give you that perfect pout you are looking for..*wink* *wink*.It contains cocoa butter and beeswax for that ultra hydration and does not give you greasy feel.  It does not give any tint to lips, although I had thought that it would be tinted but it gives a natural sheen to lips. It contains octinoxate and oxybenzone in good percentage. These two are common ingredients found in sunscreen and lip balms and provide safety against UVA/UVB rays. The balm has SPF 15 which is good for day time. It has not really done anything to cure pigmentation of lips, so not sure how it would work on heavily pigmented lips, but it will sure provide good protection against further darkening.  Overall, I am head-over-heels in love with this lip balm and will keep on buying it till the time I get bored.

Cons of Carmex Strawberry Flavored Lip Balm:

• None!! Except availability could be an issue.

Hell yeah!! Go and grab your stick whenever and wherever you get a chance. These come in many yummy flavors.They say that good things come in small packages. It is indeed one of those.
