I own a few shadow palettes and one thing is common with all of them. Yes shimmer! I never owned one which was completely matt. I always wanted to try a matt one and test if it can be as flattering as the glittery ones. So I went ahead and bought Catrice Absolute Matt Eyeshadow – 010 Eyes Wide Matt.

The palette comes in a rectangular packaging with 6 matt colors starting with light shadow and ending with a dark. It also includes an applicator with a sponge end on one side and a brush end on the other. I use the sponge end for highlighting my eyebrows and inner corner of eyes. The brush end is a total waste. It looked also not so great. But wanted to give it a try and the bristles started falling off. For a moment I thought they were my eyelashes and was shocked to see many falling off . So I never went back to use it again. The rest of the packaging looks sleek and sturdy.

The first two light colors on the left is the one most used by me (almost everyday). I like to use these color as eyebrow highlighter and for inner corner of eyes for everyday use. It is light enough for my skin tone and also the texture feels good. Its not chalky.The middle two medium colors are suitable for eyelids and creases. The last two dark colors can be used for smoking out lower lash line and upper lash line and also for outer V on eyelids.I pop on some shimmer from other pallets for some fun looks.The colors are easily blend able. The product is not highly pigmented. I would rate it as medium pigmentation. It can be a good starter kit for beginners to experiment with.

I couldn’t find the ingredients information anywhere on the packaging nor on internet.
