Catrice 020 Peach Sorbet Defining Duo Blush Review

Once again, I’m back with a Catrice product and this time – it’s a blush that I’ll review for you all from this amazing brand. This was also a part of the German haul done by my brother. The blush that I’m going to talk about in detail is the Catrice Defining Duo Blush in the shade 020 Peach Sorbet. So let’s see how this one turned out.

Each highly-pigmented Duo Blush contains one semi-matt and one shimmering shade. The silky, soft texture with fine, intensive color and shine pigments blends optimally so that you can model the contours of your face. Available in a total of four color combinations.

My Experience with Catrice 020 Peach Sorbet Defining Duo Blush:

The blush comes in a sleek and compact rectangular see through case which makes it super convenient to locate the shade in the stash. The brand name is printed in the front and the back of the case holds the various details like the place of mfg., etc. The blush case click locks tightly and owing to its sleek shape, can easily be carried in the purse. However, no mirror or applicator is provided with the blush and hence would make touch ups a little difficult.The blush has no distinct cosmetic fragrance which I like as strongly scented products really irritate my nose.

 

Coming to the shade 020 Peach Sorbet, it’s a duo palette with the left or the bigger part containing a dusty peach shade with a slight satiny finish which is oh so apt for regular wear and has become a staple in my stash. The right side or the smaller part contains a shimmering peachy gold highlighter and it adds a beautiful sheen to the cheeks without looking over the top. I can see this shade duo working beautifully on a large number of skin tones however girls with complexions darker than NC42 might have to build up the colour for it to show up.

In terms of texture, it’s really amazing I would say. It’s silky smooth and finely milled and blends like a dream without leaving behind any patchiness. It adds a beautiful sheen/glow to the face which looks really flattering. In terms of pigmentation it’s sheer to buildable which again is a plus as one can never get the dreaded clown cheeks with this one on irrespective of how heavy handed she gets. The blush stays on for a good 5 -6 hours without any primer underneath and is pretty resistant to the sebum and sweat build up on the surface of the skin.

Summing up the pros and cons,

Pros of Catrice 020 Peach Sorbet Defining Duo Blush:

• Affordable
• Compact and sturdy case
• No fragrance
• Shade would suit a lottttt of complexions
• No patchiness
• Would never look over the top irrespective of how heavy-handed one gets
• Good staying power

Overall, I reallllllllyyyyyyy love this blush and like I had said before this one’s already become a staple in my makeup stash. I have already hit pan on this one and I’m desperately on the lookout for a similar shade as Catrice isn’t available in India ( Kolkata) yet. I recommend everybody to give these blushes a shot it they come across this brand anywhere.
