Today’s review is about Catrice Ultimate Colour Lipstick in the shade 340 Berry Bradshaw. Now that autumn has set in, it’s time to dig out darker shades of lipsticks for autumn looks; Berry Bradshaw color from Catrice seemed to be a perfect color for autumn. Let’s check out how it fared!

My Experience with Catrice 340 Berry Bradshaw Ultimate Colour Lipstick:
The packaging is something to fall for. It comes in a glossy black packaging. It hasn’t got a plastic feel on the outside; it feels like a high end lipstick when you hold it in your hand. It also clicks while closing the lid. The lipstick is secure and there is no chance of it getting opened by mistake. The creamy, textured lipstick glides smoothly on the lips and is easy to apply. The sharp edges of the lipstick can be used to reach the border and tips of lips, in case one doesn’t use a lipstick brush. I normally use a lipstick brush to reach the edges and define the lip lines.
The color, as the name suggests, is a berry one. You can apply it as a full fledged bold lipstick or you can use a little of it to stain your lips, and then finish off by applying a lip gloss or lip balm. Berry stained lips go well with smokey eyes or other bold eye looks. It’s possible to wear this color to work on daily basis. Here is how I prefer to use this lipstick – apply the product and then blot it with a tissue. Then, using a lipstick brush, I reach all the corners and edges. The only problem with the product is that it bleeds a little. The lipstick bleeds out of the lips, and hence a lip liner is a must.
Lining the lips with lip liner gives a well-defined look. I normally blot the lips with a tissue to increase the staying power and also to achieve matte look. The product stays put for 5 to 6 hours. It doesn’t transfer to my beverage glasses nor budges during meals. This is great! It’s easy to build up the color by reapplying the product. It’s important to moisturize the lips well before you apply the lipstick, especially cracked lips stand out when colored with such dark shades. Make sure to wipe out the lip care product before applying the product to get matte finish.
