The Catrice Aqua Ink Lip Liner comes in a sketch pen-like body and looks quite similar to an eyeliner pen. The cap and the bottom rim denote the shade of the product. The cap shuts with a click and hence, the product is a travel-friendly one. The lip liner comes with a felt tip applicator. The tip is rounded and is very firm which doesn’t wobble during application. When I applied it for the first time, I almost had the feeling of painting my lips with sketch pens.

“Don’t copy my poppy” is a red shade with orange undertones. At times, the color almost looks like a fully ripened grapefruit. I like the bold color as it is perfect for date nights. The felt tip applicator has a strong pungent odour which I hate. The lip liner doesn’t bleed, which provides a precise application to the lips. You can also use it to fill in the lips, but the ink doesn’t get dispersed evenly making it settle more on one side and less on the other. The lip liner takes hardly a few seconds to dry and if you want to remove any application mistakes, make sure to do it sooner. Once dried, the product doesn’t transfer or smudge. The color sits like a tattoo and stays in place for a very long time.

The staying power is a huge plus. The lip liner stays on my lips for almost 24-30 hours after which it starts fading away. It leaves a semi-permanent tint to my lips because of which the color is very hard to remove. I use an oil-based makeup remover and a scrub to remove the stain completely. It is a waterproof lip liner and thus, it easily sustains meals and drinks. Also, the lip liner stains my clothes and the mistakes stay for almost 2 days. The product is not at all moisturising on the lips, so it is essential to hydrate your lips before application. Overall, it is a great product.
