Recently, Catrice came up with a new variety of lip liners. Unlike the creamy ones, these lip liners are aqua-based, so I bought 3 of them. Today’s review is on Catrice Aqua Ink Lip Liner – I Feel Inspired Today. Read on to know more.

My Experience with Catrice Aqua Ink Lip Liner – I Feel Inspired Today:
The Catrice Aqua Ink Lip Liner comes in a black pen-like body and the cap and the bottom denote the colour of the lip liner. The lip liner almost looks like a sketch pen. The cap shuts with a click and hence, the product is a travel-friendly one. The lip liner has an aqua-based texture and it comes with a felt tip applicator. The tip is rounded and is very firm which doesn’t wobble during application. When I applied it for the first time, I almost had the feeling of painting my lips with sketch pens. The felt tip applicator has a strong pungent odour, which I hate.
“I feel Inspired” is a very dark and bold shade. The color looks like an oxblood shade because of which it masks my pigmentation on the lips to a great extent. The color is suitable for a gothic look. But, I am unsure, if I will be able to carry this shade for any other occasion. The shade looks like a brick red color on my hand swatch but, it looks more of a dark burgundy color on my lips. Women with fair skin tones can easily carry this shade for any occasion.
You can also use the lip liner to fill in the lips, but make sure to apply it on well-moisturized lips else it will make your lips patchy and streaky. However, after applying the product, you can use a lip balm to keep the dryness at bay. The lip liner stays for a pretty long time without smudging or fading.
The lip liner provides a semi-permanent tint to the lips. Once dried, the lip color stays for almost 36 hours without fading. As it stays for a very long time, you can use the liner to make your lips look plumper. Since the color is very bold, it gives you very little opportunity to change the shade for the next 5 days. The product is waterproof, so it easily sustains meals and drinks. I use an oil-based makeup remover and a scrub to remove the stain completely. Also, the lip liner leaves a stain on my lips which stays for around 3 days. The lip liner stains my clothes and the application mistakes can never be reverted.
