I had reviewed Catrice Pearly Bird Longlasting Pencil some months ago and today, I am reviewing the shade “Brown Town Girl” from the same range. Keep reading to know more about this brown eye pencil.

My Experience with Catrice Brown Town Girl Longlasting Eye Pencil Waterproof:
Let’s begin the product review with the packaging. The eye pencil comes in a simple retractable pencil form. The pencil has a black body with a color-coded base and a cap that helps to locate the shade easily. There is a sharpener at the lower end of the pencil to sharpen the tip of the eye pencil. The pencil has all the necessary details about it. The shade name and number are mentioned at one side of the pencil. The cap of the pencil fits securely making an audible click and ensures that it will not come off while carrying around. This retractable pencil is easy to use and does not require any sharpening. Overall, the packaging is nice, sturdy and travel friendly.
Now, talking about the shade “Brown Town Girl.” It is a dark brown matte eye pencil. The color is dark and looks natural. It is a good shade to wear on a regular basis without looking over the top, but it is quite difficult to smudge the color whenever I want a smoked-out look because the color sets very quickly. It is totally free from any sheen or shimmer and sets to a perfect matte finish.
Pigmentation wise, this eye pencil is average. It requires multiple swipes to build up the color properly and still it is quite difficult to build up the color on the waterline. The texture of the eyeliner is not impressive. It is not smooth and creamy like the other pencil I have. It slightly tugs and pulls on the lids. It does not glide smoothly on the eyelids. I use this eye pencil to fill my brows also. As it is a deep brown shade, it looks so natural and perfect.
The eyeliner lasts for some 6 hours or so on my eyelids with a little fading, which is very impressive. But, it hardly stays for some 2 hours on my waterline. The eye pencil is absolutely waterproof. It does not come off with water. It is totally smudge-proof and does not budge at all. The eyeliner is slightly difficult to remove. It requires a very good eye makeup remover to take it off completely. It cannot be taken off with something like makeup remover wipes. Overall, I am really not much impressed with the quality of the product.

- Poor texture.
- Drags on the lids.
- Could have been more pigmented.
- Requires multiple swipes to build the color.
- Color can’t be build up on waterline.
- Does not last long on waterline.
