Colored Kajals add extra effect to our eyes and most of us own them too. I had recently picked up a few colored pencils from Catrice Cosmetics and today’s review is all about Catrice Cosmetics Kohl Kajal in the shade “260 So Bluetiful”. Read on to know more.

My Experience with Catrice Cosmetics Kohl Kajal 260 So Bluetiful:
The product comes in an unsealed wooden package with a plastic cap. The color of the pencil depicts the shade and you can also see the name of the pencil on the side. There is a very little information present on the pencil and for everything else you need to look up to the website. The cap fits perfectly and doesn’t open up in the bag. However, it is not very tight and I think over a period of time, it might become loose. The product is sleek and makes it easier to carry in a purse or a bag. The product is an amazing travel companion!
“So Bluetiful” is a royal blue shade and it is well pigmented. Even though it looks shiny, the product provides a matte finish. The shade is an everyday blue shade and is not very bright that you have to wait for an occasion. It is wearable every day and the shade looks lovely. Since my favorite color is blue, I just couldn’t resist myself from picking it. The pencil is easily sharpenable and you can use a normal sharpener for the same. The product is very creamy and glides well.
The texture is like velvet and smooth. However, when applying on eyes it is not the smoothest kohl you imagine. It tugs and pulls the skin and makes the line uneven, especially when it bumps on the wrinkles over the eyes. To overcome this, I heated up the lead a little and it fixed the issue. But, having a lighter every time when I need to use this makes me cringe at the product.
The kohl lasts for a good 5 hours without any smudging. If you rub the kohl with hands, it does fade away, but if you let it be alone, the longevity is pretty impressive. The product stays put even on oily lids for around 4 hours. The kohl hardly stays for 20 minutes on the waterline. You need a good 3-4 sweeps to make it stay longer. It doesn’t cause any irritation to the eyes. Even though they claim the product to be vegan, I noticed that it contains carmine which is obtained by red bugs. So, if you are looking for carmine free, this is not for you. Even though it is not the best kohl available out there, I like the shade and would love to find ways around to use it. But, I wouldn’t repurchase it because of the non-creamy texture. So, summing up
