Highlighters are great to define your face. There are so many affordable ones available in the market today and I recently picked up one from Catrice Cosmetics. Today’s review is all about Catrice Cosmetics Light Spectrum Strobing Brick in the variant “010 Brown Brilliance”. Read on to know more.

My Experience with Catrice Cosmetics Light Spectrum Strobing Brick 010 Brown Brilliance:
The strobing brick comes in a black plastic case with transparent lid. The lid is very tight and closes with a click. There is no tamper seal on the product. There is some information on back of the package. The package is pretty good and is sleek. It easily fits into your bag/purse without any issue. Since it is plastic, I am scared that it might break if dropped and I usually have a big tendency of dropping things and I fear that the fate of this product might not be so good with me.
There are 3 variants available in this strobing brick. I picked up “010 Brown Brilliance” as the colors were not very bold compared to the other variants and I like browns! There are 5 shades in the brick and are beautifully designed to implement the colors in the palette. I feel that the division of the shade is a bit mismatch. The one in the center has the least product. The shades are as below:
Shade 1: This is a creamy white shimmer. It has some rose gold highlighters and due to which it has hints of brown when in sunlight. This is one of those that brightens your eyes and can be used as an eye inner corner highlighter.
Shade 2: This is a mixture of mauve and brown. I absolutely love this color. Other than using it as a highlighter, I love to use this as my eyeshadow.
Shade 3: This is a copper brown shimmery shade. It can look a bit orangey, but it does compliment wheat and darker tones very well.
Shade 4: This is a pinkish brown shimmer. This is my favorite and it suits all kind of skin tones.
Shade 5: This feels like a little rose gold blended brown shimmer shade. It almost resembles shade 2.
The shades can be used individually or can be combined. All the colors offer shimmery finish. They are well pigmented and provide that needed glow. They have tiny shimmery particles in them which make them sparkle and especially in the sun/light, they have an amazing shine. The products have powdery finish and there is fall out. This happens when you use the product together, the powdery texture gets dispersed and can settle in the other shades. They are very smooth and since they are pressed, there are chances that they can crack.
They are multipurpose and can be used as highlighters and as eyeshadows. The product blends well but it has a tendency to look patchy if the blending is not done correctly. The product clings onto acne and dry areas and if you have skin issues, you need to test before you purchase. The product lasts for around 7 hours without any issue. Overall, it is a good mixture of browns and I haven’t had any issues with it. I absolutely love this palette for creating nude makeup.

I would definitely try a different shade from this range and it is worth a try.
