My Experience with Catrice Kabuki Brush:

Who doesn’t love Kabuki brushes! They are soft and so fluffy. I have been wanting to stack up my makeup accessories and I have been doing one step at a time. Kabuki brushes take me back to the old days when I used to enact my dad with his shaving brush! Good old days! I only have the basic essential brushes; hence kabuki brush is the new addition.

The packaging is good. It comes in a plastic box with all the info regarding the brush. The base of the brush has the name of the brand all over it and the bristles are densely packed. The bristles are synthetic but are very soft! When you use it on your face, it feels like a feather. I really love the feel of the brush. The brush doesn’t shed. I have washed it 2 times now and there was no shedding.

The grip is fine and application is quite easy. The bristles being feathery soft, doesn’t wipe off the foundation applied underneath and blends the loose powder/compact perfectly to achieve a smooth finish. I shifted from the makeup sponge provided with MAC Studio Fix to this and I really like the way it makes my skin feel. My skin looks evened out and you can hardly notice makeup on me! The product does great justice with compact/ loose powder/ blusher and bronzer but this is not a perfect option for contouring, as the dense bristles can mess up the look!
But I guess it is same with every Kabuki brush!

I wished it had a cap, as carrying it could be a hassle and it can get dirty with all the stuff in your bag. So I prefer to take the plastic outer package with me. The brush blends the products very effectively without fading it. The brush is not a perfect choice when you have a multi colored palette. I tried using it with my Rimmel London Sculpting Kit, and every time I try to use the blush, the contour shade also gets picked up by the brush due to its size, but overall it is a good brush.
