My Experience with Catrice Prime and Fine Make Up Transformer Drops Wake Up Effect:

The product comes in a sealed brownish-orange tube like package. It is pretty small and this makes the product very convenient to carry. The design is similar to the other transformer drops from the range. There is some information on the back of the tube, but for details you need to check their website. One of the reasons I picked this one up is because of the wakening effect it claims to create. I usually tend to sleep less during some days and when I have to be on my toes, I thought this one would come handy. The nozzle like tube helps dispensing the product effectively.

The Wake up drops are orangey in color resembling the outer package and is creamy. It has semi-thick consistency and is heavy. It doesn’t have any typical smell, but it is mild and hardly stays on the skin.

The application is pretty simple like other transformer drops, you need to mix it with the foundation and apply onto the skin. Since mixing doesn’t always yield good results, I put these as dots over my face especially concentrating the darker dull areas, and then apply dots of foundation and blend everything with a brush or a blender. It blends out well and doesn’t have any issues. The product instantly brightens up the complete face. It adds a glow to the face and makes it look very radiant. I was very impressed by this quality. The product can also be used alone but needs a lot of blending. If blended well, it doesn’t cause any streaks. However, I noticed that even though you blend, you need to fix the makeup with a spray or loose powder. I noticed that it did take a lot of time for the makeup to settle down on my skin and it was getting onto my dress and sleeves!

Catrice Prime and Fine Make Up Transformer Drops Wake Up Effect Review Hand Swatch

The product doesn’t cause any irritation or breakouts. Since it is heavy, you may feel it on the skin and you need to get used to it. It doesn’t cake up the makeup, but it does make the foundation/concealer very thick when it is mixed and this can cause uneven blending. So, I prefer the dot application.

Like the other transformer drops, this too shortens the wear time of the foundation and it also contains silicones. The brightening effect lasts for around 4-5 hours, so it is not a whole day transformer! Overall, I like the way it brightens up the face and it could be a very good affordable choice for dark areas too.

Pros of Catrice Prime and Fine Make Up Transformer Drops Wake Up Effect:

  • Travel-friendly.
  • Sealed package.
  • Blends well and doesn’t cause any streaks.
  • Instantly brightens up the face with a glow.
  • Can be used alone as a concealer to mask dark circles, darkness near the nose and jaw line.
  • Doesn’t cause any breakouts.
  • Creates a fresh, matte look.

Cons of Catrice Prime and Fine Make Up Transformer Drops Wake Up Effect:

  • Feels heavy on the skin.
  • Shortens the stay of the foundation.
  • Contains silicones.
