My Experience with Catrice Shine Appeal Fluid Lipstick 050 What a Melon:

In the recent past, a lot of liquid lipstick products have come in the market. Catrice also introduced in liquid lipsticks 2015 and here is one from the collection.
I would define Shine Appeal Fluid Lipstick as a strongly pigmented lip gloss. I am not a lip gloss person but wanted to give the fluid lipstick a try. This happens to be my first fluid lipstick.

The packaging is cool. It comes in a square plastic transparent tube. The cap is a screw cap and is black in color. On the cap the name Catrice is embossed. The packaging on the whole looks awesome. The product comes with an applicator like that of a lip gloss. The applicator is sturdy and gives full control during application.

The consistency of the product is smooth and light. The lips feel moisturized when the lipcolor is applied. The liquid lipstick is sheer and feels more like a lip gloss with high pigmentation. There are absolutely no shimmers or glitters in the product. They also don’t feel sticky on lips.

The product has a very mild fragrance. It smells mostly of vanilla. The application is very easy as the applicator wand glides smoothly spreading the product uniformly on the lips.
The staying power of the product is not that great. Mine lasted a little more than an hour. After that the glossiness slowly disappears and looks more matte. The color gets transferred easily when drinking or eating. It definitely needs reapplication after a meal.

The color “What a Melon” is bright reddish pink shade which looks flattering on most skin tones. The product when applied more than one coat gives a more pigmented look. I tend to apply more than one coat.
Overall I am not supersatisfied since the staying power is not that great. I prefer the lipstick look than lip gloss or liquid lipstick. But if you are more of a lip gloss person, then you should definitely give it a try.

Would I Repurchase Catrice Shine Appeal Fluid Lipstick 050 What a Melon?
Not really. I prefer and feel more confident with lipstick on my lips than lip gloss or liquid lipstick. I also don’t like to reapply the product; this happens to be the case here.

If you are more of a lip gloss person, then you will definitely like it. It’s not so expensive, so give it a go.
