Recently, I bought a few lip products from Catrice. So, today’s review is all about Catrice Ultimate Colour Lipstick in the shade Plum and Base.

I have used a few shades from the Ultimate Colour range after reading reviews on IMBB. Honestly, the word plum attracted me to this lipstick. The Catrice Ultimate Colour Lipstick comes in a sleek, glossy black packaging. I love the packaging as the black case looks chic and classy. The cap shuts with a click and thus, it is easy to carry around in your bag or purse. The basic information is printed on the cap. The lipstick is creamy and glides very smoothly on the lips. Also, the lipstick bullet is shaped perfectly to fill in the edges of your lips without any effort.

The shade “Plum and Base” is a beautiful pinkish plum colour and I absolutely love this shade. The colour is very similar to the shade Plum Fiction and there is only a minor difference between the two. This shade will suit a lot of skin tones and it instantly adds a brightening effect to your face. Though the product provides a glossy finish to the lips, still I dust my lips with some loose powder to create a matte finish.

The product has to be applied onto well-moisturized lips as the lipstick is not at all moisturising. You can easily build up the product and it doesn’t feel heavy on the lips. The lipstick hides the pigmentation of my lips by providing an opaque coverage. The product stays on my lips for around 4-5 hours after which it fades evenly. The lipstick doesn’t transfer much which is good, but it bleeds and hence, I use a lip liner to avoid this problem. The product can be easily removed with a wet wipe or an oil. Overall, I love this lipstick very much.
