I am a balmaholic. Along with conditioners, lip balms are one thing I love experimenting with and hoarding. Caudalie is a French brand inspired by the beautiful vineyards of Paris. ‘Caudalie’ is a measurement of how long the taste of a wine stays on your palate. Almost all of their products contain a small amount of grapes in one form or another.
Claim: For anyone looking for a nourishing, anti-ageing lip conditioner. Formulated with 99.5% naturally-derived ingredients, this beauty treatment for the lips repairs damaged lips after each application. Lip Conditioner contains a delicate vanilla scent with anti-oxidant properties; delivering nutrition and protection all day long.

My experience with Caudalie Lip Conditioner:
I am always on the lookout for new lip balms even if there’s nothing wrong with the large collection of lip balms I already have or even if I haven’t finished up any of them even partially :P.The first thing I noticed about this product is the smell. It reminds me of Natio’s sunscreen lip balm. They say it is vanilla but I smell some floral essential oils instead – like ground orange rind.
The lip conditioner’s texture is quite hard at the beginning, but it became softer eventually. It still required few strokes on every application.Caudalie lip conditioner is moisturising enough for an average day. And I don’t feel the need to reapply it before 3-4 hours which is pretty good. That maybe because it doesn’t fully absorb into your lips. It sits like a layer on top of your lips. I like that actually because no then we would have needed to reapply it often. Going by the ingredient list, it does make sense – a mix of seed oils, waxes and shea butter to form a buttery and waxy layer simultaneously.
It doesn’t leave any white tint on the lips nor is it oily or heavy on the lips. It is not very dewy and so I am not sure how this will fare in winters. The packaging is a clean simple packaging. Nothing very fancy about it which I would have expected for this price. No dyes are used inside the product, it is pale white in colour.
Overall this product is a good mineral oil and wax-based lip balm that contains some really good emollients to make our lips feel smooth.
Pros of Caudalie Lip Conditioner:
• Moisturises lips pretty well
• Stays on for 3-4 hours
• No dyes used
• Doesn’t leave any white tint
• Not oily or heavy on the lips
Cons of Caudalie Lip Conditioner:
• You need to apply a little pressure to dab this onto lips
• Too simple a packaging for an expensive product
• Not a big fan of the smell
• May not work well for winters
IMBB Rating: 3.5/5
Would I Repurchase Caudalie Lip Conditioner?
