Caudalie Makeup Remover Cleansing Water Review

Caudalie Makeup Remover Cleansing Water Review

Hi Beauties,

Today, I am here to review an amazing product worth all the money. It’s a Make-Up Remover Cleansing Water from Caudalie. I always wanted to try Bioderma Cleansing Water, but could never lay my hands due to it’s non-availability! While browsing through Caudalie’s products, I was very impressed looking at the claims and reviews and decided to give it a shot as it is almost similar to Bioderma.  Removing make-up before going to bed is really important as it helps the skin to breath. Makeup can clog the pores while sleeping resulting in acne. I always make a point to remove my makeup, cleanse my face and use a fragrance-free moisturizer like Cetaphil before going to bed.

My Take on Caudalie Makeup Remover Cleansing Water:

I usually use a makeup cleaning towelette or liquid from Neutrogena to remove BB cream, lipstick and eyeliner/mascara before going to sleep. Though Neutrogena works great, it sometimes breaks me out, especially when I don’t wash my face with a cleanser as it has traces of oil to break down the makeup. I never got hold of any good drugstore makeup removers that are oil-free. I decided to use pure cleansing water instead of a half and half mix of oil and water.  I am very happy to get a chance to try this amazing product from Caudalie.

This product comes in a transparent plastic bottle making it lightweight and not to worry about dropping it and breaking. It has a hole dispenser that makes it easy to control the amount of product dropped on a cotton pad. The color of this product is almost clear like water and has a very pleasing subtle scent to it, which is an added advantage as heavily scented products can also result in breaking the skin! The fragrance includes orange, lemon blossom, watermelon, and mint leaves.

I dab a small amount on the cotton pad and gently use it in circular motions on the face. A single swipe is sufficient to remove the face makeup. I use another clean pad to cleanse my eye makeup. This product works great with waterproof makeup as well. It easily breaks down waterproof eye makeup in just 2 swipes.

This product is very soothing and gentle even on any skin type. This product doesn’t leave any residue behind after removing the makeup. It makes face feel clean and fresh even without using a cleanser.

This product stands true to it’s claims – it gently removes makeup from the face and eyes as it soothes, moisturizes, and softens skin. There’s no need to rub for a thorough clean— a gentle cleansing base washes without stripping.

  1. I’m liking the Bioderma cleansing water a lot, it’s refreshing and great for hot weather. I want to try this one too and their scrub! Lovely review, Bhargavi. 🙂

    1. Thank you Ida .. I wish we get Bioderma here .. heard lot of great things about it. Cleaning water seems to be a great product to remove makeup rather than the oil based removers!

      1. The Caudalie Remover seems on par based on the review. 🙂 Only difference I can tell so far is the scent, I don’t get any from the Bioderma. I find oil-based removers more heavy duty sometimes…I think it depends on the sin type also? 🙂

  2. This looks like a must try product esp after seeing the ingredients , I will definitely try to get my hands on this one next time , nice review 🙂
