Caudalie Vinosource Moisturising Sorbet Review

Caudalie Vinosource Moisturising Sorbet

Hi Beauties,

I have already reviewed the Caudalie Instant Foaming Cleanser and Caudalie Moisturising Toner. I was simply blown away by the extremely gentle yet effective nature of these French Pharmacy products. So much so, that I could not help myself from buying the moisturiser; so as to complete the CTM regime of this brand and see the final outcome. My skin is combination to dry type; and I specifically bought this moisturizing sorbet for the coming winter months.

About the product: A cream that intensely moisturizes dehydrated and sensitive skin. This natural formula deeply hydrates all skin types, even the hypersensitive ones. It instantly moisturizes, softens and soothes. Packed with Caudalie’s famous grape seed polyphenols, these powerful antioxidants stimulate microcirculation and help skin to maintain hydration. Chamomile enriches this quick-acting formula to soothe and calm the skin. Next generation peptides provide desensitizing and painkilling effects.

How to use: Morning and evening, apply the Vinosource Quenching Sorbet-Crème on cleansed face and neck. For best result use the quenching sorbet crème alongside the Vinosource Moisturizing Cream-Mask (used twice a week).

Key Ingredients:

• Grape Water: Delivers nutrients to the skin and acts as an intense “water patch” which increases hydration by 127%. Sourced from organic grapes, it naturally soothes skin resulting in a 62% reduction in sensitivity and discomfort.
• Vinolevure: Exclusive to Caudalie, it is extracted from wine yeast. It moisturizes and strengthens skin by protecting its natural defenses and protective qualities while holding up to 100 times its weight in water.
• Grape Seed Polyphenols: One of the most powerful antioxidants in the plant kingdom, grape-seed polyphenols block 100% of free radicals and are 10000 times more effective than Vitamin E. They stimulate microcirculation and help skin to maintain its hyaluronic acid content, which in turn maintains hydration.

My experience with Caudalie Vinosource Moisturising Sorbet:

When I started to write this review; the first thing I did was to search for the meaning of “sorbet”. I found out that “sorbet”….is something like “sherbet”. It’s a frozen dessert made of ice with some flavour added to it. It is basically a no-fat or low-fat alternative to icecream. Yuuuummmmmm!!!!!!….sounds like an ice-gola , doesn’t it? So I properly understood my product now. The product is mostly water derived from natural sources; and it is low in fat totally. So, this a heavenly product to people with dry skin; or anyone else during dry months of the year.

The product comes in a simple, white squeezable tube packaging, covered with a pink lid. The product outlet hole is extremely small, so it actually helps in disposing just an adequate pea-sized amount of product. Besides, it is small enough to be put in your purse and very travel friendly.
The product itself is a white color cream; which has the perfect texture and consistency. It is neither runny like a lotion; nor is it very thick to mimic a balm. The moisturiser is extremely light weight, with a nice creamy texture; feels more or less like a mousse. Only a small pea size amount is needed to cover the face and neck area; and it immediately absorbs into the skin; without leaving any greasiness or white cast behind. The fragrance is the characteristic Caudalie fragrance of “cut grass”- very mild and does not remain for long.

The cream is perfect for dry skin type people throughout the year. For combination to oily skin people, they may find it too rich in the humid months; while loving it during the winters. I feel that although it is good enough for my face now, I might need a serum underneath the cream; for the winters. At present, I am mainly using it as a night cream, after cleansing and toning my skin with Caudalie products. On rarer occasions, I have used it in the morning time as well instead of putting on loads of moisturisers. This one is light weight; but very moisturising; without leaving any greasy or sticky feel at all. The soft, hydrated feel remains the entire day.

On waking up in the morning, I notice a nice, plump, hydrated and radiant look on my face. Since it is mainly made of plant origin products; this is good for even the most sensitive skin types. It has a very mild, pleasant fragrance, which disappears immediately after application and should not be a cause of worry for anyone. It has never broken me out.

This cream can be used in day and night times, either alone or underneath a foundation or BB cream. It makes the skin extremely smooth and supple, and allows the makeup to be applied very easily and seamlessly on to the skin.

Will I recommend Caudalie Vinosource Moisturising Sorbet:

Yes I will. If you are getting ready for the winters, you have to keep Caudalie in mind while purchasing the products. This sorbet has worked wonderfully with me. Cleansing and toning is a must no matter how cold the temperatures is outside. This moisturiser may seem light weight at first sight; but it really gets the work of moisturisation done perfectly. There is no need for thick, greasy, sticky winter skin care products…..light weight products work quite well for us.
