I hope everyone is doing good :). Today, I am going review CeraVe broad spectrum SPF 50 sunscreen. I am very picky about the products I use on my face as my face is oily and gets tanned easily. I make sure that I use the right kind of sunscreen to make my face healthy and tan free. While in India, I used sunscreens from Lotus, I feel some how they worked well on my skin. When I was shopping around last month, I found this product, CeraVe – Broad spectrum SPF 50 sunscreen face lotion. CeraVe is one of the top brands, and have very good reviews on their products. This made me pick this cute little tube.

My Experience with CeraVe Broad Spectrum Spf 50 Sunscreen Face Lotion:

I love summers. After surviving the terrible winter, I started enjoying every bit of summer. The only disadvantage of going out in a sunny day is ending up with a tanned face. I have very sensitive face, it gets tanned very easily (hate it!). To get rid of it, I use many face packs, creams/lotions.

When I bought this sunscreen, my expectations were very high, the product claims were really tempting. When I picked the tube, it said “face lotion,” so I expected a flow-y texture which can be easily spread on my face. Well, to be frank, I am really disappointed with this tube. It doesn’t spread easily on the skin, in fact, it leaves a white patchy layer on the skin.

It is oil free but not lightweight. It gives a shabby look after application. The only best part about the product is its SPF 50 content, and also that it’s developed by dermatologists, and also is water resistant. I have used this sunscreen for more than 20 days and I am not satisfied at all.

I use a moisturizer before applying the sunscreen, that helps me a little in spreading the lotion on my face. I couldn’t really do anything to make the white residue/patchy look disappear from my face. I don’t think I will ever buy this sunscreen again, all my expectations went down the drain. 🙁
