Skin tone: Medium with yellow undertones
I really wanted to give this range of lipsticks a try after reading Rashmita’s reviews. I mean, she loves these lipsticks so much! So, I also picked up one shade called Rose Couture.
My Experience with Chambor #581 Rose Couture Orosa Lip Perfection Lipstick:
The packaging is just so gorgeous of this lipstick. The lipstick comes in a beautiful red cardboard box which has every detail about the lipstick right from claims to ingredients. But, the actual packaging is the real beauty here. This rose-gold packaging can instantly steal every makeup lover’s heart. Even though it is made of plastic, it looks so luxe. The cap shuts with the click, which is quite reassuring. It is easy to swivel the bullet up and down. In short, this packaging won’t let you down.
I was hesitant to try this lipstick for it’s creamy and I am a matte addict. Frankly, I didn’t like this lipstick for many days. Then, I fell in love with it. This creamy lipstick is so easy to apply and is so apt for people with dry lips. It does not cling to dry patches. In fact, it hides them. The lipstick is very moisturising and looks gorgeous on the lips. I have tried many creamy lipsticks in the past but I always settle for mattes but this one is very different. It is pigmented enough to cover lip flaws and makes lips look beautiful.
This shade is such a beautiful MLBB shade. It flatters my medium skin tone well and I guess it can be a perfect nude for a lot of skin tones ranging from light to deep. This is the kind of lipstick that you would want to don with your heavy eye makeup or with your no-makeup look. Owing to its light mauvey-pink undertones, it does not wash me out. In fact, it goes very well with my skin tone. I didn’t like it at all initially as my younger sister had chosen it for me but now I love it. I do not reach for it as much as I reach my matte lipsticks but yes it holds a special place in my vanity. The shade has hints of mauve and pink in it, and hence tends to look different under different lights.
The thing about this shade is that it looks different on bullet, different as a hand swatch and different on the lips. There are other things that I do not really like about it. First, the minty feeling. It bothers me and makes me feel a little uncomfortable. Second, the fragrance: it bothers me too. But, these factors affect me only initially, say for around 10 minutes. The great thing is that this lipstick offers an SPF 8. The staying power is surprisingly good. It does not survive a full meal and a lot of color gets vanished. But with water and just snacking, it stays on me for 4-5 hours. It transfers but not crazily.
