Chambor Enriched Revitalizing Make-Up Review

Chambor Enriched Revitalizing Make-Up

So, I finally exhausted my Maybelline Dream Liquid Mousse Foundation, which I been using for the past I-don’t-remember-how-many months. As happy I was with this particular foundation, I had the urge to try out something new just for novelty’s sake. And I stepped out again looking for a new foundation for very day use for my extremely oily, severely acne prone skin. And Chambor Enriched Revitalizing Make-Up is what the SA managed to send me off home with. Read on to know if it was any good.

My Experience with Chambor Enriched Revitalizing Make-Up:

The shade that the SA sold me is 300 Enriched Vanilla. The product comes in a glass bottle with a pump dispenser that makes for easy dispensing. The foundation seemed to me a bit runny as compared to Maybelline Dream Liquid Mousse which I had been using earlier. The consistency is lotion like which is just how normal foundations are like. Nothing unusual. It has a not particularly easy to ignore fragrance which, quite frankly, I found to be a nuisance to my olfactory lobes. It makes for easy application, both with fingers and with brush. Blending would, perhaps, be easy on a flawless skin, but for my acne ravaged, combination skin, it does not work at all. A primer is a must. Without the primer, my extremely oily T zone tends to get oily within two hours. After application it provides a healthy glow to the face. I liked the dewy finish that I got. The coverage is sheer to medium. However, it made me look like a ghost in pictures, which was to be expected since it contains SPF. The staying power is around five hours without the primer and with the primer it stays put for as long as eight hours. There is an anti-ageing claim by the company too, on which I would not be able to comment. There are not many shades available, especially the darker women might not find a matching shade.

Pros of Chambor Enriched Revitalizing Make-Up

• Contains SPF, ergo good for everyday use.
• Imparts a healthy glow to the face.

Cons of Chambor Enriched Revitalizing Make-Up:

• Not a great foundation to be photographed in.
• Limited number of shades. Dusky women might not find a matching shade.
• Might turn patchy if the skin is not hydrated enough.
• Has a mild fragrance which annoys me a bit.
• Cannot be used without a primer if you have textural imperfections.

Will I Repurchase Chambor Enriched Revitalizing Make-Up?

No. I remember loving the other foundation by Chambor, the one that is available in blue tube, but this one is an absolute no no for me because I love getting clicked. Also, I have a lot of skin issues and this foundation if anything, accentuates them and using a primer everyday is not my cup of tea. Again, it cannot be used for special functions as it would make you look ghostly white in pictures.

Who Will I Recommend Chambor Enriched Revitalizing Make-Up to?

It could work as an every day makeup for people who don’t like getting photographed much with not many skin issues.

IMBB Rating:

2.5/5 ( I would have given it more points had it photographed well).

  1. Hi Sushmita , ohh it’s such a dud isn’t it *scared* I am on the lookout for a good foundation. I was using Lakme Absolute Mousse from almost 2 years and it suits my skin type which is oily and sensitive. But now I want to try Maybelline Liquid Mousse so wanted to know how it fared for U? 😀
