Hello IMBB Readers!
Today, I am going to review Chambor Flowing Lipstick Stay On Color in Raisin Rose 260. Long wear lipsticks with matte finish tempt me a lot. As I have dry lips, long-wearing lipsticks dry out my lips. I bought this lipstick last year in summer season just because it claimed to be a long-wearing lipstick that doesn’t dry out lips, has got shea butter, jojoba oil and vitamins to keep lips well moisturized, leaves no traces on cup/glass, etc.
550 INR for 4 ml.
My Experience with Chambor Flowing Lipstick – Raisin Rose:
The color reminds me of Bournville Rich Cocoa. It is exactly the same color. It is hard to know the amount of lipstick coming out when bottom is twisted, so, I twist it 4-5 times and when the lipstick is out in a good amount, I place it at the back of my hand and then apply it with the brush that is attached with its cylindrical body.
The brush is extremely good for precise application and bristles are really soft. The texture is creamy and the color is highly pigmented and is buildable. The lipstick is smooth to apply, but streaks a lot if a sheer coat is applied and when I apply two coats, it looks extremely patchy.
For a smooth finish, I have to apply it in a good amount, but then it takes time to settle on my lips and stains my teeth. The lipstick feels light on the lips, doesn’t settle in the fine lines and doesn’t moisturize my lips very well.
The staying power is good but wears off in an uneven pattern from the inner line of my lips if I eat or drink. I exfoliate and hydrate my lips before wearing this lipstick.
The first swatch is of my bare lips. In the second swatch I have applied a single coat of Raisin Rose, it is looking very sheer. In the third swatch, I have applied two coats whereas in the fourth swatch, I have applied a generous amount of lipstick to avoid any sort of streak or patchiness.
Pros of Chambor Flowing Lipstick – Raisin Rose:
- Doesn’t settle in the fine lines.
- Good staying power.
- Highly pigmented.
- Price is justified.
- Color is buildable.
- Feels light on my lips.
- Brush is nice for precise application and has soft bristles.
- Nice warm shade for evening and winter season.
Cons of Chambor Flowing Lipstick – Raisin Rose:
- Not hydrating enough for my dry lips.
- Its application is time consuming.
- Wears off in an uneven pattern from the inner line of my lips (only when I apply it in a good amount).
4/5 (-0.50 each for the first two cons)
Will I Repurchase Chambor Flowing Lipstick – Raisin Rose?
I really want to try out this lipstick in Heavenly Rose. If I didn’t have such dry lips, this would have been on my HG list. A must try for matte lovers 🙂
