Chambor Glitzy Gloss Crystal # 801 Review

Hello wonderful ladies,

Finally, spring is about to come and chilly winter days have started disappearing. In this beautiful weather, I decided to review this gorgeous vibrant lip gloss from my stash for you all. The lip gloss belongs to the Crystal range of glitzy gloss launched by Chambor. I have already reviewed one gloss from this range earlier. So let’s see which shade has fared better among the two.

Shelf life: 3 years from the date of manufacturing.

My experience with Chambor Glitzy Gloss Crystal:

Packaging: The gloss came in a rectangular blue cardboard box that has all the details, shade number, product description and ingredients written on it. It also had a sparkling front that looks chic. The body of the gloss is delicate, sleek and travel-friendly. It also has a number written on its bottom so that you can easily locate the gloss if you have more than one from this range. It has a black cap that looks very classy and a transparent body to assess how much of the product is left inside. All in all, its packaging is just like other glosses from Chambor.

Shade: The shade of the gloss is a very soft red. I mainly bought this shade to top it over my red lipsticks but, on its own too it looks very chic and women of all ages will love it. Though, the entire range of glosses is sheer. I find this particular shade provides adequate coverage to the lips that are not very heavily pigmented and makes them look healthy. It also possesses very fine beautiful red and golden shimmer particles that are not at all chunky and reflect the light perfectly. This particular shade instantly brightens up my face. I love this shade more than the orange one.

Texture and pigmentation: These glosses are quite creamy. They glide on smoothly. It does not settle into fine lines or accentuate them. However, they are a bit sticky and I hate when my hair sticks to it. This particular shade is a bit more pigmented than the 804 and I just have to swipe it once on top of a lipstick. However, when the gloss starts to fade off the shimmers are somewhat left behind which I do not like. Girls with dry lips may not want to skip a lip balm under it. Not that the gloss is drying but, it is not hydrating either. Also, it transfers a lot.

Fragrance: The fragrance of the gloss is citrus-y like I mentioned before and will not go well with sensitive noses like mine.

Applicator: The applicator of the gloss is a regular doe foot-shaped one and does its job pretty well.

Staying power: I have also said before that I like the staying power of these glosses as they stay on for a bit longer time on me than the other glosses that I have tried in this price range.

So summing up all the pros and cons;

Pros of Glitzy Gloss Crystal in shade# 801:

• Affordable for the quality and quantity.
• Cruelty free.
• Women all age will love this shade. It is perfect for topping up on red lippies.
• Stays on for a bit longer time than the other glosses in this price range.
• Travel friendly and classy packaging.
• Shimmers are very fine and reflect the light perfectly.

Cons of Glitzy Gloss Crystal in shade# 801:

• Contains parabens.
• Will not cover heavily pigmented lips.
• Leaves shimmer behind.
• Nauseating fragrance.
• It is not hydrating.
• I prefer shade names instead of numbers. Numbers tend to confuse me a bit and I cannot remember them.
• Transfers a lot.

Will I purchase this again/ do I recommend Chambor Glitzy Gloss #801?

Yes, I always love picking up Chambor glosses whenever I have a chance to. I do recommend glosses from the Crystal range if you don’t have super dry lips and a sensitive nose like mine.
