I have finally jumped on to the Chambor bandwagon after so many reviews and swatches from Rati and Neha and that’s what I am going to review today – the Chambor Intense Glitzy Gloss in the shade 646. For the longest time I hated this brand – not for their texture or shade selection, but for the nauseatingly sweet fragrance of their products. However, looking at the swatches on IMBB I finally decided to give them a try again!
Let’s move on to the review, swatches, and the LOTD pics!
I think Rs. 655
The packaging is very classy and compact and there is absolutely no spillage or messiness around the rim when you close the cap. It comes with a doe-foot applicator like most glosses and it helps in applying the gloss very evenly.
I am not going to go into the details of the product description as this range has been reviewed quite extensively by Neha.
You know my insane love for purple makeup – right? That I would pick up this gloss in purple was a no-brainer! This shade is a soft pink-ish purple shade that would suit fair to medium skin tones. The color is very feminine and romantic and would look good with subtle pink themed daytime makeup – namely Neutral eyes/kohled eyes and fresh pink blush. On darker skin tones I feel it would appear a bit dull, but do try it on your lips if you pick this up!
The texture is very thick and creamy and very easy to apply because they are not runny or sticky like most glosses. I feel they make my lips appear plump and wet, which is awesome. The best thing about these glosses is that they are completely opaque and one swipe gives a beautiful tinge of color covering pigmentation quite well.
Like most glosses the staying power is not great – about 3 hours on my lips after which they start fading. However, I don’t hold that against a product that claims itself to be a gloss. They transfer easily but don’t bleed even though I don’t line/fill my lips with a lip pencil when applying a gloss. Moreover, they are fantastic at moisturizing and hydrating the lips!
The fragrance as with all Chambor products is a little nauseating and too sweet. But it goes away after a while.
Here is how this one looks on me – I am NC 35 in Mac normally and NC 37 in summers when I tan.
5/5 of course! Planning to pick up quite a few shades from this range.
I would definitely recommend you to pick up one of these glosses because of the creamy texture and shade selection. I love how it plumps up my lips and gives that wet look and at the same time covers pigmentation well. This shade is a personal favorite and its just very easy to carry off with my usual makeup – which is smudged kohl and pink blush. Great for wearing with Indian wear as well as western casuals. Definitely falls in the ‘Do not miss’ category!
Hope you guys liked the review and the swatches!
Love and hugs
