Chambor Moisture Plus Lipstick in Chocolate Plus Review
Thank God that winters are now over, its not that I don’t like this season, but the thing is during this season my already dry skin becomes overtly dry and requires lots of attention and care. It was just to serve this purpose that I picked up this lipstick from Chambor Moisture Plus collection No. 314 Chocolate Plus. I am so much addicted to browns that I have almost all shades of brown ranging from the lightest to the darkest in my vanity. I just can’t help myself when I see a good brown lipstick or a lip liner and the next moment I know its coming home with me 🙂
Rs. 645 for 4.5 gm.
An innovative “dual action” formula with a nourishing core to hydrate lips and prevent dryness; surrounded by a soft, ultra-moisture color coating for a smooth, radiant finish.
- Treatment Lipstick.
- Two In One Lisptick – Treatment with Color.
- It has a glossy texture.
- Beautifully highlighted and totally refined lips.
- Day-long comfort, infinite softness.
- Water Resistant – Long Lasting Effect.
- No Animal Ingredients.
These come in a silver gray packaging with a lid that shuts with a click so you many need not worry about its opening out in your bag or purse whilst travelling. There is a steel Chambor rose on the top and the details of the lipstick at the bottom. No way can you determine what lies inside unless you open it up or read the details at the bottom in case you have a lot of these. I have only one, so it wasn’t difficult fetching this one.
My Experience with Chambor Moisture Plus Lipstick in Chocolate Plus:
When I first opened the lid, I saw a small, light-colored cavity in the centre of the lipstick. Initially, when I had tried this at the store, I did not observe anything as such and was surprised, but after reading the label, got to know that this is the moisturizing core that keeps lips hydrated and nourished. It reminded me of those Elle 18 lipsticks that were launched initially.
Inside the mall, it looked like a good brown color, but in broad daylight its an almost caramel color and looks as if I hurriedly forgot to apply lipstick properly. With a single swipe, the color is hardly visible and requires about two to three swipes for the color to be visible properly. The texture is feather light and buttery but gives a greasy feeling with more swipes. Gets transferred easily and has a very low staying power to the balm. Pigmentation is also a disappointment when compared with other ranges from Chambor. Even with a light snack or drink, the lipstick fades away and touch-ups are required. It does keep my lips hydrated and is great for those with dry lips. The color will suit all skin tones and is great for everyday wear.
Pros of Chambor Moisture Plus Lipstick in Chocolate Plus:
- No need for a balm as it already has one.
- Ideal for those with dry lips.
- Travel-friendly packaging.
- Suitable for all skin tones.
Cons of Chambor Moisture Plus Lipstick in Chocolate Plus:
- Price is an issue.
- Pigmentation is very less.
- The color needs to be built on to show, else will give a sheer look.
- Very less staying power and fades unevenly.
- Requires frequent touch ups.

Nice review Nidhi,…. looks good on you but might not suit me …
The color would look good on many but the lipstick itself is not worth purchasing
Its sure never gonna suit me…good review though..
Thank you Mellisa.
It doesnt look chocolate 🙁 why is it called ‘ chocolate plus ‘?
Agree Preeti. Chambor lippies always have awkward names. Maybe they are hungry and thinking about these when they decide the names
