Today I am here with a foundation review which I picked up recently. It was an impulse buy but a great one. I was confused between this and the Revlon color stay new 24hr formula, both were long wearing and for oily skin. But I went for this one mainly because of the shades and also Revlon one was more of a medium to full coverage. I was amazed to see this not reviewed here. Anyways let’s see how this one fared on me.

My Experience Chambor Sheer Delight Ultra Matt Oil Free Foundation:
It comes in a navy blue opaque tube packaging, with a screw up lid and a nozzle that dispenses the right amount of product when squeezed. The tube is very small, just the size of my palm. In all it is very simple and sturdy, you can throw it in your hand bag without any worries.
The foundation comes in three shades natural, ochre and ginger being the darkest shade. The shade range is not the best. I have the middle shade ochre; it has neutral undertones and will suit most medium skin tones. Although it is a shade darker for me, The SA was telling me to go for the lightest shade but it mostly had pink undertones and would have been slightly lighter for me. But because it is light coverage it blends easily, and I make it work either using a lighter shade of compact powder, or a matte bronzer on neck. And also in summers my skin gets shades darker, so this will work well then.
The texture of this foundation is thick almost like whipped cream, but not very emollient and moisturizing. It spreads very easily on skin without any efforts. But if you have dry patches or combination skin, make sure to moisturize skin first, even for oily skin use a very light moisturizer to make application smooth. But I do feel that, applying slightly heavy moisturizer alters the application and the end finish. This foundation is clearly not for dry skin as the name suggests, as it will exaggerate dry patches. It does not settle in pores or lines at all and does not have any significant fragrance to bother anyone. Application is very quick and easy, fingers work best for this foundation you just need to blend in two to three strokes across the face and you are done. This is perfect to apply in a hurry, it barely takes 2 minutes.
It provides sheer to medium coverage as the name suggest. It evens out skin tone, but will not conceal any flaws, acne scars or anything you do need a separate concealer. My major concern are my dark circles which are taken care by a concealer and the slight redness I have on my cheeks gets covered by this foundation easily. But I do feel it is good to go for a light foundation and cover the flaws with a concealer separately, rather than going for a heavy coverage one. This foundation is not good for layering, because of the thick texture.
I am highly impressed with this foundation; it sticks to all its claims completely. It gives the perfect no makeup look and does not look cakey at all, feeling weightless on skin. It is prefect if you wear a foundation everyday and are looking for a lightweight option. It has a beautiful velvet matte finish, so it does not make skin look very dry but also prevents skin from looking shiny. It controls oil really well and keeps me matte for a good 4 to 5 hours even without any powdering on top but I do need to blot my T-zone every 2-3 hours. In summers, I will need to lightly set it with powder.
It is very long wearing, and in spite that does not oxidize at all on me even after wearing it for 9-10 hours, but I do need to blot my T-zone every two hours as my skin is quite oily, but the rest of my face looks very fresh and matte. When set with a powder on top, I only needed to blot it 2-3 times in 9 -10 hours of wear time. Truth to be told I have yet never come across a product be it a tinted moisturizer, bb cream, foundation that does not oxidize on me , and this one wins over there as well and that is also a reason it works for me in spite a darker shade. It stays in place for the whole day without a powder on top even after blotting face 4-5 times, there was no smudging. There was slight fading only around nose after 7 hours of wear, but on rest of the face it did not budge or melt even when I was outdoors under sun. Also A primer is not at all needed with this one.
Another thing to be happy about, it does not melt or transfer on its own at all, there was very minimal transferring on tissue after blotting a few times. And it did not cause any acne or clog pores, most of the time whenever I wear a foundation for long hours, my skin gets clogged with certain formulations, but I have worn this for 4 days in a row 9-10 hours each and still my pores did not clog at all. It does not contain any SPF, so it does not give a flashback in photos and for day time one can wear a sunscreen underneath. This is definitely a Holy Grail foundation for me for summers, as that time the shade will match me perfectly and the formulation is perfect for that season. I do feel it is priced slightly on the higher side considering it is a light coverage foundation, but the way it fulfills all the other aspects, the quality justifies the price.
In all apart from the shade selection this foundation sticks to all the claims 100%, and is excellent for the oily skin and humid weather.
