Chambor Silk Wrap Lipstick Shade 601 Review

I had earlier reviewed two lipstick shades from Chambor’s Silk Wrap Lipstick range – 605 and 606 on IMBB. “601” however is not my favorite lipstick shade. It’s a subtle light milky orange shade and is not very flattering when worn on its own. Although it has all the properties of a good lipstick, you can mix and match this with any other lipstick. My Experience with Chambor Silk Wrap Lipstick Shade 601:

This lipstick comes in regular Silk Touch lipstick packaging from Chambor. Even the “Powder Matte” range comes in a similar packaging like this one. The scent of silk wrap lipsticks is very similar to powder mattes ones. The finish however is different. It is exactly what it says – silk wrap. It is soft and balmy, and feels like silk wrapped your lips.

The texture is moist and supple, so I think women with dry lips will love it. If you have flaky lips, you will need to exfoliate your lips prior to application as this lipstick is so soft that it will collect into the lip lines easily.

As I have mentioned earlier, 606 is a light-toned milky orange color. The color is warm and will suit warm to medium skin tones. For me, this looks too pale and washes me out. On its own, it doesn’t do much for my skin tone. The color can be worn by very pale skin, otherwise this looks too light and milky on deeper skin tones. I like to wear it on top of another deeper matte or red.

This lipstick is somewhere between a sheer lipstick and a lip balm but the intensity can be built up. It imparts sufficient color to the lips easily.

Overall, it feels smooth and supple and my lips feels nourished. It might last you 3 hours but it is worth your while.

Cons of Chambor Silk Wrap Lipstick Shade 601:

• Might wash out deeper skin tones.
• Lasts lesser than your cream and matte lipsticks, if you are a matte lover.
• Sheer for my taste.
• Boring packaging.
• Scent is annoying

Would I Recommend/Repurchase Chambor Silk Wrap Lipstick Shade 601?
Not this shade, but will repurchase other lipsticks from this range. These are creamy supple but sheer lipsticks that I enjoy wearing when not in the mood for matte. If you light complexion, this can be your day wear color.
