This is my first post on IMBB. I have been following this blog since 2013 and it has been my “go-to” blog before any shopping. Today, I am reviewing a very classy nail paint shade from Chanel. I love Chanel nail paints. They are long lasting and have such good quality. Chanel came up with new shades in its “Le Vernis” line. I was on my weekend shopping trip to The Grove, where I saw this 522 Monochrome nail colour at the Nordstrom store.

My Experience with Chanel 522 Monochrome Le Vernis Longwear Nail Colour:
This nail polish comes in a square glass bottle with minimal design. The cap of the bottle is black and has the Chanel logo on top of it. The outer packaging is typical Chanel box – black colored with a golden line at the bottom.
The best thing about this formulation is that it is 5-Free, that means free of formaldehyde, toluene, DBP, formaldehyde resin, and camphor.
The brush is thin but works nicely – allowing you to go with fine details in nail corners. The nail polish is quite thin and I apply two coats of it to get the true color on to the nails. The finish is somewhat not that glossy and gives a classy finish between matte and glossy.
“Monochrome” is a true classic and has a very formal look. It has a very cool vibe about it. I wear this shade when I have a formal event in my school.
Now, it lasts for about 3-4 days on my nails without chipping. My nails grow quite fast, so I always have to redo my nails every 4 days.
