I will be reviewing two lipsticks from Chanel, which were released this spring 2015; as a part of the Reverie Parisienne Collection. It has some really beautiful top notch lipsticks in it besides other beauty stuff; and I wanted to grab all of them. However, I got just two lipsticks from this spring collection. Today, I will be reviewing the shade #98 Etourdie, which is a Rouge Coco Shine lipstick. The collection has another lipstick“La Romanesque”, which I shall be reviewing next.

My Experience with Chanel #98 Etourdie Rouge Coco Shine Hydrating Sheer Lipshine:

I love Rouge Coco Shines. Always have and always will. Some may say it is just like a lip balm… Well, I disagree. It is so much more than that. It is ultimate daytime ultra-sophisticated perfection.

Packaging: It comes in a packaging similar to other Chanel lipsticks (except the Allure Velvets). The box is glossy black, on which all details are written. Inside, is the black casing, which holds the bullet. It has the Chanel logo on top. As with other Coco Shines, this one too is slimmer than the other range of Chanel lipsticks.

Shade: This shade is gorgeous. Period. It is a beautiful cool-toned raspberry pink shade, with silver micro-shimmers. It appears a bit dark in the tube, but applies just perfect on the lips.

Pigmentation:
It is a sheer pigmented lipstick. It has more of a gloss and shine, than color. But this shade is not as light as some other shades where you can’t see the color at all. It is not as pigmented as Bonhuer; but the pigmentation of Etourdie is just perfect. It does not apply as dark on the lips as you may see in the tube. I need 3-4 swipes for satisfactory pigmentation on my non pigmented lips.

Formula:
The formula is quite balmy, in a good way. It does not feel heavy or tacky or sticky on the lips. Infact it is extremely light-weight. It moisturises the lips quite well. It applies very smoothly on the lips. The micro-shimmer does not look very obvious… Rather it gives a very glossy shine on the lips. It does not dry out the lips at all. It does not settle into lip lines. Infact, I do not have to prep my lips at all before applying this. 3-4 swipes of this lipstick and I am done. It is quite buildable and does not bleed.

Lasting time: It lasts 2-3 hours on my lips, which is quite decent for a glossy lipstick. A single meal will completely wipe it off; without leaving any stain or a smattering of shimmer all around the lips. One has to definitely reapply it post meals. Even after the lipstick is wiped off, I still feel my lips quite soft and supple for next 3-4 hours.

• Expensive… But then its Chanel
• Limited Availability
• Stays on for short time
