Hello everyone,
I am back with another Chanel Nail Polish review in the shade, Vamp 18. It is one of the new shades from Chanel which has multi-dimensional colour leanings and it has become my current favourite. So, let’s get into the review.
Price: $28
Product Description:
LE VERNIS by CHANEL: A long-wear, protective nail polish with lasting shine designed to make vibrant colours dazzle. Long-wearing, extra-fine and ultra-shiny, each coat offers an absolutely even and lacquered result.
How to use:
After washing your hands, file your nails and remove particles with a small KABUKI BRUSH. Wipe your nails clean with a cloth. Apply the BODY EXCELLENCE HAND CREAM. Push back your cuticles at the base and sides of the nail with an orange stick, then remove oil from the nail surface using a cotton pad moistened with nail polish remover. Apply a thin layer of LA BASE. Then apply the first layer of LE VERNIS, followed by a second coat – as thick as the first, for a more vivid colour.

My Experience with Chanel Le Vernis Longwear Nail Colour – #18 Vamp:
The Chanel Nail Colour comes in a cardboard box with all the details printed on them. The bottle is rectangular with a faux cap where the logo is imprinted, well that’s all a designer packaging. The brush is on the thicker side and could be tricky for some people, it needs some practice to get used to it.
I have been a lover of dark shimmery shades because I feel that they compliment my skin tone more than the rest. When I saw this shade at the Chanel counter, I couldn’t resist myself from buying this one. The shade Vamp 18 is a rich burgundy colour with plum undertones and micro-shimmers.
I usually push my cuticles and wash my hands in warm soapy water, to make sure that the nail polish glides well. I use a cotton ball and nail polish remover to remove any residual oil. This step works for me well and makes the nail polish last longer. I use the Essie basecoat as it works well for my peeling nails. Chanel Le Vernis promises to be a deal changer for people who love gel nail polish, which in fact requires a UV lamp for the glossy effect, but Chanel has changed the game by giving a product that gives stunning effect without a UV lamp.
The shade Vamp 18 is a dark burgundy colour with some element of purple and some micro shimmer which is not Over the Top. The brush of this nail polish is a bit tricky to work with but, eventually, I got used to it. The nail polish has got the right consistency and texture and it glides smoothly on my nails. The first coat looks more reddish and a tad bit streaky but the second coat makes it a real stunner.
In artificial lights, it looks even more nice with all the glossy effect and shimmer. The drying time of the first coat was about 2 minutes and the second coat took about 5-7 minutes which is quite disappointing. The polish lasted on my nails for 5 days without chipping after which the tip starts to wear a bit. I am planning to get a few more shades from this line as they have quite a lot of unique colours.
