For a long time I have been looking for a perfect natural color lip pencil for my complexion. Something that would be flattering , understated and not drying. I finally found one in Chanel. Boise De Rose is a medium pink lip pencil with slight peach undertones and very very fine golden shimmer. In fact you’d be able to see the shimmer only if you stare long at it. 😛
It comes packed in a glossy black box with an attached lip brush and a sharpener. The lip brush is soft yet firm and helps in softening the edges. The sharpener is par excellence.
The lip pencil in itself is not too creamy but creamy enough to glide on your lips without tugging. It stays on for good 6+ hours on its own. I love the color. It goes with almost all pink lipstick that I own. It does not budge with the lipstick colors but just helps in giving an even base and helping the lipstick last long. The lip definer is not drying but not moisturizing either. It does not move or smudge and stays on at its place as long as you are wearing it.
It does not have any funny smell to it. I love that it is a sharpenable pencil.
Overall, i love this lip pencil and wear this a lot on its own. I love the understated fresh look it gives to the face. Would definitley recommend it. 🙂
