My Experience with Chanel Rouge Coco Stylo Complete Care Lip Shine
I picked up one of these from Bangkok airport. I loved it so much that I started using it everyday until one day I lost it while travelling. ๐Ÿ™ So towards the end of the trip, I picked 3 more. ๐Ÿ˜€ Nowย you already know how much I love these lipsticks. ๐Ÿ˜›

I picked up 3 shades :

  • Roman 208 : A soft magenta pink
  • Historie 206 : A soft coral red
  • Lettre 216 : A soft dusty rose

True to their claim these lipsticks have “intensity of a lipstick, the shine of a lipgloss and the comfort of a lip balm”. They come in these click-twist up glossy black tubes. The caps have the Chanel logo embossed on them and the bottom of the tubes are coloured with the names printed on them. That makes the lipsticks easier to store if you purchase a couple of them.

I’d call them the advanced version of lip balms. These are very hydrating and work absolutely beautiful even on bad lip days. The soft shine makes it perfect for both day and night time. And if you are not a huge gloss lover such as me, these kind of lipsticks are your ideal candidate. The shine also stays throughout and gives a nice healthy-plump look to the lips. All the 3 colors are extremely pigmented – I’d say they give 80% coverage to the lips without any lipliner underneath. But if you want the true color, applying a lip pencil would be better. They have the signature Chanel rosy fragrance to them but nothing too strong. I quite like it. The 3 colors I have are absolutely gorgeous and would work well for all skin tones. The lightest shade Lettre could make a gorgeous MLBB shade for medium skin tones. These don’t settle in fine lines of the lips nor do the smudge on the edges. Despite being the creamy-gel(y)-balmy lipsticks, they don’t transfer a lot on the cups etc. With a bit of snacking and drinks, these stay for at least 5 hours on me. And the two brighter shades, Roman and Historie, leave a soft stain behind. These lipsticks also contain jojoba oil, apple seed extract and coconut oil. Love such products that give a double benefit of that combined skincare and makeup in one. These are available in 8ย colors so there is something for everyone there.

Now the Cons.ย

There are two major cons with these.

  • These lipsticks have such soft texture that they are almost melting in this crazy Delhi heat. So I have to be careful that I twist these only one click at a time because these are pretty much in their semi-molten form right now. This also leads them to breakage sometimes. Breaks my heart actually. ๐Ÿ˜›
  • These completely disappear after a full meal. And especially the lighter shade does not even leave any stain behind; it’s like a clear swipe.

Despite the cons, I abbbbsolutely love using these lipsticks. They feel sooo nourishing on lips. Sometimes I also like to mix and match these with my matte lipsticks so I get the best of both worlds. These are probably one of my most abused lipsticks these days. If I am not using them on their own, I am mixing them with some other lipstick. ๐Ÿ˜›
Totally recommend these but remember the cons as well! ๐Ÿ™‚
