My Experience with Chantecaille Total Concealer
I am using a lot of Chantecaille products these days and so far I am pretty happy with the brand. Although my previous review on the eyeliner from the brand was not a happy one but I am surely bringing you a lot of good reviews in coming days. 🙂
Total Concealer comes in 6 shades. I picked up the shade N*de which is slightly lighter than my skintone but pretty mjuch blends in. It comes in this tiny square pot with screw cap. Very simple and basic packaging but I like it. Although the pot has a small opening and you would probably have to use a brush every time to pick a product. But I am fine with it.
When I picked up this concealer, it reminded me of MAC Studio Finish Concealer and I was expecting it to have a full on opaque coverage. But this is a medium coverage concealer that is great for day to day wear. It may not be able to cover heavy dark circles or blemishes but it surely adds so much freshness to the under eye area. Plus it also diminishes the look of fine lines. I picked up a real bad under eye day to do before and after swatches for you guys. You’d notice that it gets rid of lot of discolouration under my eyes but still does not fully conceal the shadows. Once I set it with powder my under eye area looks more awake and fresh. If you want a full opaque coverage you could layer it on top of a peach corrector.
It is a very creamy concealer and glides on the skin beautifully. It spreads thinly and does not cake up at all. You can also build up the layers and it would not take up. Once you set it with powder it lasts pretty much all day long. It also does not settle in fine lines but definitley set it with a powder.
It is an amazing natural looking concealer and probably one of my favourites in my collection. For day time when all I want is more awake looking under area and something that pretty much does not show – this is what I have been reaching for a lot.
One concealer that totally loves up to its claims. Love every bit of it. 🙂
Sadly it is not available in India. But definitely look for it while travelling. 🙂
