I am a huge fan of the Charlotte Tilbury Rock n Kohl liner in the shade “Bedroom Black,” and it is still one of my all time favorite liner for the waterline. Hence I decided to try other shades in this range and picked up a shade complete opposite of black. This review will be on the Charlotte Tilbury “Rock n Kohl” Iconic Liquid Eyeliner Pencil in the shade “Eye Cheat.”

My Experience with Charlotte Tilbury Eye Cheat Rock ‘n’ Kohl Iconic Liquid Eye Pencil:

Packaging: Comes in a simple pencil format with the shade indication on the bottom which helps for easy storage and access of a particular shade. It is easy to sharpen and I love how unlike a traditional wooden pencil, it does not get ragged harsh edges.
Eye pencil

Texture: This eyeliner is smooth and creamy, and glides easily on the waterline without tug.

Pigmentation: I was most impressed with the amazing 100% one swipe opaque pigmentation of the shade “Bedroom Black” and was hoping for a similar result since this is the same formula “Rock n Kohl,” but unfortunately, it did not deliver on this. Though it is possible to get a full opaque color on the waterline, but being a light color, you do have to build it up, but you have to swipe it multiple times (at least 3-4 swipes) to get the color to show.

Shade: The shade “Eye Cheat” is a creamy off-white n*de shade for the waterline. Unlike a true white shade which can look very harsh, a shade like this gives a much wearable softer look. This eyeliner is completely matte finish with no shimmers.
Neutral eye pencil

Makeup artists have used this trick since long to give the illusion of “bigger, doll-like eyes,” and also to make the eyes look more awake, less tired. Though I was never a big fan of this look initially (Black kohl lined eyes were always what I was comfortable with), but the more I wear this look, the more I have grown to like it. Just a trick to remember here, when you apply a n*de liner to the waterline, make sure to not leave the rest of lower lash line bare. Just smudge a bit of eyeshadow below it to give some definition and mascara on the lower lashes is a must to complete the look.

Staying Power: The wear time is very good. It wore for about 6 hours before I started to notice fading on my waterline.

Overall, this is yet another fantastic product by Charlotte Tilbury. It is creamy, has great pigmentation, is a very flattering shade and is long wearing. I will recommend this product.

Creamy soft texture.
Does not tug or skip.
Good pigmentation.
Soft off-white shade is much softer and wearable for the eyes.
Perfect shade to give an illusion of bigger brighter eyes.
Long wearing, about 6 hours on me, which is impressive for a lighter shade like this one.
