Charlotte Tilbury Marie Antoinette Eyes to Mesmerise Cream Eyeshadow Review

I am obsessed with the Charlotte Tilbury makeup line. Though I have loved most of the products from this brand, her eye and lip products are my favorite. She came out with these new crème eyeshadow pots a while back and I have been eyeing them ever since their release. These shadows are said to be very similar to the Tom Form crème color for eyes.  This review will be on the Charlotte Tilbury Eyes to Mesmerize Long Lasting Easy Creme Eyeshadow in the shade “Marie Antoinette.”

My Experience with Charlotte Tilbury Marie Antoinette Eyes to Mesmerise Cream Eyeshadow:

Packaging:  This product comes in a tiny frosted heavy plastic pot with a screw lid. I do find this product travel friendly.

Texture/Consistency:  This crème shadow has a whipped smooth consistency.

Application and Pigmentation:  This crème shadow is so easy to use and creating eye makeup looks takes no effort at all while looking much complex. I find my fingers are the best tools when applying this shadow and I can easily apply it all over. Though using a brush is absolutely optional, I will sometimes use a blender brush to smoke out the crease for a much polished look. If you do have small eyes, using your fingers might not be practical, but any small synthetic flat brush will work just as good for you.  The pigmentation is absolutely brilliant. It goes on full opaque in the thinnest layer and there is no need to layer on this shadow.

Shade and Finish:  The shade “Marie Antoinette” is described as an antique oyster gold hue inspired by the hypnotizing beauty of the infamous Queen of France. This is an absolutely beautiful antique gold with a bunch of golden shimmer suspended in it which will suit everyone. This shade is one the best sellers in the line and rightfully so.

It imparts a gorgeous wet eye look to the eyes and the sheen it imparts truly makes your eyes shine. It gives that sultry look to the eye. I have gotten many compliments on my eye makeup whenever I have worn this. The pictures absolutely do not do enough justice, it looks way more gorgeous in person with its 3D light-catching quality.

Feel on the eyes:  It does not feel too heavy or greasy and imparts no tackiness. Though it is prone to transferring minimally whenever you touch your eyelid throughout the day. It never truly sets, but I did not find it smudged or budged.

Staying Power:  This crème shadow wore wonderfully throughout the day. I did see it creasing slightly around 6 hours on the area where the natural crease of the eyelid is, but even then, it does not look too bad. The wet sheen does dull down slightly as the day wears on, but even then the shimmer particles are there to catch the light. There is no fall out and the shimmer nor not slide over the face.

Overall, I am in love with this product. I am reaching for this product every time I have to squeeze my makeup in a short amount of time (people with impatient husbands can relate). This product is only available in 6 shades for now and I am hoping Charlotte Tilbury will expand her range soon. I highly recommend this.
