CHI Silk Infusion Reconstructing Complex
I am going to review about a hair styling serum/leave-in conditioner today.
Around $15 – $20 for 6 fl.oz (I bought this a year back, so I don’t remember the exact price).
Directions For Use:
Apply a small amount into the palm of hand and work evenly throughout the hair. Leave in and proceed with styling.
Cyclomethicone, Dimethiconol, Dimethicone, C12-15 alkyl Benzoate, Panthenol, Ethyl Ester of Hydrolysed Silk, Phenoxyethanol, Fragrance, D&C Yellow 11, D&C Red 17, Zinc Oxide, Titanium Dioxide, Mica, Boron Nitride Powder.
My Experience with CHI Silk Infusion Reconstructing Complex:
I had asked my sister to fetch this particular product from the USA, during the time of her wedding. Because my sister said a strict “no” to parlor makeup on her wedding occasion, I had to arrange for all the necessities. I got this serum to add some sheen to her hair and to keep her hair protected from heat from straight ironing. My friend was using this product along with a CHI straightener iron and I was totally in love with how her hair looked. I used it with a Panasonic Straightener.
The dollop I have showed is a bit less than the amount I regularly use for waist length hair of mine. I not only use this product for straightening, but also leave it in after a hair wash. I don’t use it frequently.
The bottle has a press-to-open cap. The fragrance of it is just so pleasant and stays for almost a day. The consistency is a bit thick. I rub the potion really fast on my palm, such that my palm becomes hot. Then, I glide on the potion to tips and then to the few damaged portions of my hair. It makes my hair very soft and shiny. I just couldn’t resist from touching my hair. :preen: :preen: It acts equally good when I straighten my hair and leaves hair silky smooth and soft. I feel that with this product in my hair, it is less prone to damage.
Pros of CHI Silk Infusion Reconstructing Complex:
- No parabens :yahoo: :yahoo:
- Soft and shiny hair.
- Less damaged hair.
- Fragrance is awesome
- Nozzle is pretty small, so you don’t pour out excess.
- Definitely won’t spill out, so can be taken around safely while traveling.
- I don’t find the ingredients list scary :hihi:
Cons of CHI Silk Infusion Reconstructing Complex:
- Pricey (when converted to INR), but worth the money.
- Round-shaped bottle, occupies too much of space :headbang:
- Doesn’t tame frizzes (of course, doesn’t promise to do so).
Would I Repurchase CHI Silk Infusion Silk Reconstructing Complex?
Yes, till I find a replacement
