Like any other nail art enthusiast I have a wide array of nail paints that mimic the colours of the rainbow. Nail colours that are far out of the safe reds and pinks; like black, peacock blue and even holographic gold. These colours are perfect for nail art or even an accent nail. The polish I am now going to review is a vivid blue that I had high hopes for. Read on to find out if it surpassed my expectations or not.

My take on China Glaze Sexy in The City:
First off, please excuse that black ring on my index fingernail it’s my Voter Mark that refuses to go. I have a feeling that my nail is permanently stained and I’ll need to let the mark grow out. *sigh* The name of this polish is so reminiscent of my favourite show that I immediately felt the need to snag it. This polish had mixed reviews and I was a little reluctant to pick it up, but the name just tipped me towards picking it. The polish is a very vivid blue that needs atleast 2-3 coats for complete opacity, even on short nails. On long nails, one would easily require 4-5 coats to hide the nail bed.
The formula is thin and the layers dry easily but there is a lot of effort required to make the polish completely opaque. This polish does not photograph well, but in real life it gives off a green holographic shine from different angles.
Looking at the thin application, it’s a perfect base for a laser manicure. Something I hope I can show you next time!
