Dior says :
The incarnation of absolute femininity in an opulent fruity-floral bouquet. J’adore takes flight with a fresh accord of bergamot, opening into a vibrant armful of roses with a delicate jasmine drydown. The sensual, curvaceous lines of its amphora bottle make this a legendary perfume.

FRAGRANCE DESCRIPTION

Floral Fruity Bouquet The symbolic concentration of the J’adore floral bouquet.

TOP NOTE

CALABRIAN BERGAMOT: Harvested in Southern Italy, bergamot essence is obtained by cold-pressing the peel of the fruit. It lends fragrances a distinct, sweet freshness, and adds particular vibrancy to citrus notes. It is used in both men’s and women’s fragrances, from Eau Sauvage and Dior Homme Cologne to J’adore eau de parfum.

HEART NOTE

DAMASCENA ROSE: Native to Turkey and Bulgaria, Damascena rose is used in the form of both essence and absolute. This mainstay of the perfumer’s palette can be found in the heart notes of Midnight Poison, J’adore extract and Eau de Dolce Vita.

BASE NOTE

JASMINE: A symbol of feminine softness, jasmine is one of the most commonly used flowers in perfumery. Wonderfully delicate, it is an entire fragrance in itself. Jasmine is one of the heart notes of Miss Dior, the timeless dry-down of Diorissimo and the refreshing top note of Miss Dior Chérie eau de parfum.

Dior J’adore Eau De Parfum comes packed in a longish, white cardboard packing and the word ‘J’adore’ is printed in gold, with an oval-shaped gold Dior symbol on the top of the box and the word Dior printed in gold at the lower end of the box. I could best describe the colour of the perfume as a ‘transparent gold’.

Ladies, J’adore is unique in itself. I don’t know of a single lady who would not wish to own and use this. This is Christian Dior’s universally famous perfume and I longed for it when I didn’t have it. It’s really long-wearing, though I must say, the floral notes in it are just a wee bit overpowering after a while. I think it’s suitable for use all year round ; in summer for its freshness and in winter for its crispness. A while back, I also spotted a J’adore perfumed shimmery-gold body lotion which, when I tested, was simply awesome.

ALL PROS FOR J’ADORE EDP

The only con I can possibly, possibly think of would be, as I said earlier, its rather overwhelming/overpowering floral notes, especially the jasmine in it, but if you like floral perfumes, you’re okay.

Rating : :-* :-* :-*:-*:-*

Would I repurchase this ?

I certainly, would, but as you can see, I have a long way to go before I finish the bottle of 100 ml. And it would be quite a while. (In the meantime, I’m eyeing Dior Addict Shine !).

MISS DIOR CHERIE EAU DE PARFUM
MISS DIOR CHERIE EAU DE PARFUM

Dior says :

A reinterpretation by John Galliano of Miss Dior paved the way for a sister fragrance for a new generation of fans. Miss Dior Chérie is an audacious Chypre with a citrusy freshness and a jasmine heart sprinkled with fruity notes, underscored by the elegance of Patchouli. A chic and impertinent new classic.

FRAGRANCE DESCRIPTION

Fruity Floral Chypre. The Dior spirit reinvented with impertinence and modernity

TOP NOTE
JASMINE: A symbol of feminine softness, Jasmine is one of the most commonly used flowers in perfumery. Wonderfully delicate, it is an entire fragrance in itself. Jasmine is one of the top note of Miss Dior Chérie Eau de Parfum.

HEART NOTE
STRAWBERRY: The scent of the Strawberry is both fruity and floral, revealing its delicious overtones of Violet and white Flowers in the heart notes of Miss Dior Chérie Eau de Parfum. Daring and sophisticated, Strawberry is a treat for the senses.

BASE NOTE
PATCHOULI: Patchouli is a plant native to Indonesia and Malaysia. Indispensable to any perfumer, Patchouli essence is obtained by steam distillation of the dried leaves. It is to be found in chypre, woody and oriental fragrances. This valued ingredient forms the dry-down of Miss Dior Chérie Eau de Parfum.

Miss Dior Cherie comes packed in a white square cardboard box with silver colour lettering. The perfume is a light golden-ambery colour. It comes with a detachable silver bow design ring which, I am assuming, can be used as a finger ring or as a scarf ring. Very innovative on the part of Dior !

This is my favourite perfume for winter, and also is a party favourite for me. In my opinion, it’s a typically evening fragrance. It is extremely long-lasting. This has a bit of 3 things – flower, fruit and plant, and the combination is awesome. It’s a very ‘warm’, comforting perfume, with a complete, distinct, unmistakenably, recognisable fragrance all its own.

AGAIN, ALL PROS AND NO CONS FOR THIS BEAUTY.

WOULD I RE-PURCHASE THIS ?

Sure…..but….err…not before I get Dior Addict Shine first ! After that, positively.

Girlies, please let me know which are your favourite perfumes for summer and winter, and also for day time wear and night time wear.

Cheerio.

I have never bought anything from Dior – will definitely try one of these, everyone seems to love them 🙂 I like Chanel’s Coco M and Chance..but have only teeny tiny sample bottles…I am being cheap and managing with the sample bottles instead of buying one 😀 😀 😀
