Christmas Theme Eye Makeup
Today after talking to Mrunmayee on the usual “Comment Chat box” of IMBB, I felt too guilty for not paying any attention to my inglot palette. I bought such nice pretty colors for eyeshadows with Rati, while my last visit to Delhi…and somehow because of my own inhibitions, I never bothered to open it. Today after gathering much courage, I tried to take out the palette and thought of doing some look that would look nice and wouldn’t make me look like a ghost.
I browsed through all the eye-shadow colors I had and how I could complement them with Inglot palette and came out with this look. Since it is my first eye makeup tutorial, I might not be as precise in my instructions and makeup too. However, I found this quite nice and thought of sharing with you guys. Since, Christmas was approaching, I thought of doing a Christmas themed look. Here is the look and the steps I followed:
Step 1: Thoroughly follow the CTM process for your face, apply the primer (optional – I didn’t use it), Put on your HG foundation followed by the compact.
Step 2: Prime your eye lids. I have used Catrice concealer stick for the same and applied some Catrice mineral powder over it.
Step 3: Take the white highlighter eye shadow and start dabbing it in the inner half part of your eyes. Please ignore the dumb brush in the pic as I’ve lost my flat make brush from NYCX kit :(. I have used the white highlighter shade from the NYC Mod Quad.
Step 4: Some highlighter on the arc of the brow bone.
Step 5: Take the Inglot Eye shadow Matte 382 and using a flat brush apply it on the outer V of your lids, followed by lining the crease line using it.
After blending both the shades well – you’d get something like this
Step 6: Take the Inglot Eye shadow Pearl 430 and using a flat brush, dab it in the middle of your lid, blending it properly with the white and the matte red eye shadow well. This kinda gives subtle look to the stark white and red eyeshadows. You can skip this step, if you want to get real dramatic Christmas themed eye look.
After doing both the eyes:
Step 7: Apply the liner, Kajal and Mascara as per your choice. I have used Almay black liner over the eyelids, light application of Revlon Kohl Pencil on the outer one third of the waterline and Maybelline Great Lash Mascara on the upper and lower lashes. Since I have smaller eyes, I also applied Oriflame eye liner pencil (Yasmine) on the waterline as I didn’t have a white eye pencil (I need to buy it now urgently).
Step 8: This step is completely optional. I love to do face art as was evident from my try on Bohemian butterfly look. I took the eyeshadow applicator and wet it slightly. Then I dabbed it on inglot matte 382 eyeshadow and simply made V pattern beside both the eyes, like this:
Step 9: Apply the peach blusher. I am using Oriflame visions blusher peach stick.
Step 10: Follow with a lipstick of your choice. I am using a dark pink shade I have in my Glamour Goddess palette!! 😛
Ta da…your Christmas theme look is done!! :D. Do let me know, how you find it! 🙂
