Cipla Tugain Foam 2 Hair Gain Treatment Review
Hello All,
I am back with another hair product review. It is from Cipla called as Tugain Foam, it is a hair gain treatment which comes in a foam texture. Before I go ahead with the review, let me say that I am not a doctor and this review is unbiased and is based on my personal experience. Also, this is a dermatological product and ideally should be used only when prescribed by a doctor, but it is available in all medical shops without a prescription as well. I would suggest to first check with your doctor and then only start the usage of this.
Packaging:
It comes in silver-greyish cardboard box. The foam comes in a plastic bottle which is white and grey in colour with nozzle and transparent cap.
Price:
INR 260 for 60 grams

How To Use:
My Experience with Cipla Tugain Foam 2 Hair Gain Treatment:
I am using Tugain Foam from the last 6-7 months and it was recommended by a friend who had severe hair loss problem. Just like many hair fall tonics, this also contains minoxidil (2%) which is a very important ingredient to control hair fall and increase re-growth of hair.
The foam is white in colour and melts away very quickly. I have to say that it is a good solution for hair fall, but has not shown any visible results in re-growth of hair.
Pros of Cipla Tugain Foam 2 Hair Gain Treatment:
- Does stop and control hair fall.
- Affordable for a brand name like Cipla.
- Easily available in medical stores.
- Contains minoxidil which has proven very helpful for controlling hair fall.
- Nozzle is very easy to use and also helps to control the amount needed for usage.
Cons of Cipla Tugain Foam 2 Hair Gain Treatment:
- Strong and unpleasant smell.
- Does not re-grow hair as mentioned.
- Contains alcohol which might be an issue for some.
- Makes hair very oily and greasy.
- Quantity does not last for long if used daily as directed.
Final Take on Cipla Tugain Foam 2 Hair Gain Treatment:
I am not sure what to say here. Well, neither I am very happy with the product nor very disappointed. All I can say is that I will keep using it for another 6 months, it has controlled the hair fall to some extent and I must use for next 6 months to see the results.
IMBB Rating:
3/5.
Do I Recommend Cipla Tugain Foam 2 Hair Gain Treatment?
Though it has been useful in hair fall control to me, it might not show same results to others. Medicines cannot be effective for all, because hair fall can be caused from many reasons such as stress, hereditary, lack of folic acid, etc. So, I think you can try and keep your fingers crossed and wait for the results :-).
I hope this review was useful. See you next time.

i was so excited when i saw the “hair gain” claim 🙁 but its dud for me if it doesn’t meet the claim :'( thanks for the review 🙂
He he! Ya aparajita “hair gain” claim made me buy this one. It has stopped the hair fall, but gaining is far far away.:(
I would stick to my cantharidine hair oil n mintop..dud product 🙁
Ya parita I read your review and I am tempted to buy that one 🙂
Mintop also is a minoxidil treatment – i think in a lesser percentage.
Oh is it…I will have to buy it soon Arja. 🙂
how sad….i was so hoping it would be effective… 🙁
Yup very sad 🙂 I also thought it will be effective, but it let me down
I use that oily lotion of tugain and trust me ..it worked wonders on my hairs. I have very thin hairs but long and silky..my hairs are weak and due to jaundice i lost lot of hairs…but after using Tugain…I was like OMG , finally I got something which works on hairs..it has reduced my hairfall to a great great extent… I simply love it…
Ankita, Good that it worked for you, for me it was a disaster. 🙂
Vini I already do that. Thanks for the tip 🙂
errrr… such tall promises and does not sound that great. 😐 Thanks for the heads up shweta. 🙂
Try Biomane ( biotin) supplement for about 2 months it will help…. plz consult doc … there is also another multi vitamin Huatvit it does wonders for hair and nails ( contains grapeseed oil , biotin , folic acid , calcium panthonate)…
apply hair oil regulalary …taps formula is good… u can modify as per hair type…. like reduce amount of castor oil or heavy oil as per your need.
