City Color Cappuccino Be Matte Lipstick Review

The matte lipstick trend has taken the beauty industry by storm, and I am a matte lip lover too! The day I had first applied MAC retro matte lipstick, I said to myself, “this is it!” That was something that I had been looking for a long time. There are numerous brands and all have great variants in their kitty and I would love to try each one of them. Today, I am going to review a lipstick from the City Color “Be Matte” range and it’s in the shade “Cappuccino, which is a rosy medium brown lipstick that looks peachy pink under different lights 🙂

This lipstick comes in a square/rectangular packaging with a transparent cap. The twist-up mechanism is smooth and once the lipstick is in, chances are rare that it would cause a mess in your bag.

My Experience with City Color Cappuccino Be Matte Lipstick:

Last week, I went to the nearby Nordstrom store and was thrilled to see the launch of Christian Louboutin Silky Satin lipsticks! They looked like pure luxury and they they can be worn as a necklace….how cool!!! But these lipsticks were priced at $90 each! Well, I have to save from now to buy at least one lipstick and there’s a shade named “Bengali :D” Senti, you know, I have to get one!

Coming to this particular “Be Matte” lipstick, the shade “Cappuccino” is a perfect blend of peach, brown and pink hues and it’s my perfect MLBB shade.

On application, it provides full coverage in a single swipe and covers lip pigmentation.  It also doesn’t settle into fine lip lines.

This lipstick stays on for 5+ hours and breaks down only with oily food.

Though it’s a matte lipstick, it still doesn’t dry out lips like crazy and doesn’t get uncomfortable.

I am glad with the purchase and would be getting a few more colors from this range a I like the intensity and wear of this one.
