My Experience with City Color M6 Latte Be Matte Lipstick:
City Color M6 Latte Be Matte Lipstick comes in a matte black rectangular packaging. It has a transparent lid. I really like the packaging because it is neat and classy. Only the name of the product is printed and rest of the details are mentioned on a little sticker. The lipstick is a slanted one and is round in shape. It makes for easy application of the lipstick.
The shade, “M6 Latte” is a beautiful nude brown shade. Precisely, it is a brown color with a grey undertone and looks almost like a taupe shade. I love how pretty the shade is, but when worn, my lips look washed out completely. The shade looks like a concealer on my lips and makes me look as if I’m super dehydrated. The pigmentation is very poor on this one too. It is a very tricky color to pull off for skin tones similar to mine.
Only extremely fair skinned women would look great with this shade. For it to work on my skin tone, I have to use a darker lip liner or mix it with a dark brown shade. But, I’ll use it some way or the other and won’t waste it. I like the fact it has some grey in it because such shades can transform one lipstick shade into a completely new one.
“M6 Latte” provides a matte finish, and the texture of the lipstick is comparatively creamier than the other shades in this range. But, the formula is slightly drying. The staying power of this lipstick is around 2-3 hours.
The staying power is less, and this one goes very patchy on dry lips. One has to make sure that the lips are exfoliated and moisturised before using this lipstick.
