Clairol Herbal Essences Break’s Over Strengthening Shampoo Review

I suffered from major hair loss/hair shedding a few months back and I was desperate for a product that promised a cure. I was looking for a quick, cheap help and I chose Clairol Herbal Essences Break’s Over Strengthening Shampoo. I had not read anything about whether this would work but was more motivated by the price.

The Packaging:
Clairol has drastically changed their packaging. What once was similar to other brands has now eye-catching, sleek and bold packaging. The Clairol Herbal Essences Break’s Over Strengthening Shampoo comes in a glittery blue bottle with a green cap. The cap pushes down very easily to dispense the shampoo. The other benefit to the way the bottle is shaped you can flip it over when the shampoo is beginning to slow to squeeze out. When I read the front of the bottle, I was instantly engaged by the words “anti-breakage potion.” Clairol claims that there is a “fusion of coco mango and pearls” as a “love potion for bad hair break-ups.”

Claims:
Find strength against damage in the face of a bad hair break-up. Our formulas with an anti-breakage potion help put the love back in your hair.

Directions:
Use me: love that lather. Rinse and repeat. Revenge is sweet and sudsy.

My Experience:

Price: Rs.180 (I am not sure) for 300 ml.

I have used Clairol Herbal Essences Break’s Over Strengthening Shampoo for quite some time now. I expected better results than I achieved in the long run.

The shampoo definitely comes out easily and looks like a shimmering purple when squeezed it. However when applied to your long locks the lather is white. As far as applying it to your hair, it has a deep rich lather without using a lot of shampoo.
The scent of the Clairol Herbal Essences Break’s Over Strengthening Shampoo is very pleasant. It is not over the top but subtly freshens your hair with that hint of coconut being the strongest fragrance that shines through. If you don’t put additional beauty products such as gel or hairspray in your hair, the scent lasts most of the day.

Pros of Clairol Herbal Essences Break’s Over Strengthening Shampoo:

• My hair was slightly shinier with this product.
• It smells really great. Not too strong.
• Rich lather.
• The bottle is really easy to use.
• Pretty cheap.

Cons of Clairol Herbal Essences Break’s Over Strengthening Shampoo:
• Unfortunately as great as it smells lathers and dispenses from the bottle, it does not do as promised.
• The chemical content is too much.
• However the damage of breakage to my hair was still evident. I also found that my ends looked as if they were drying out a bit by the time I had finished off the two bottles I bought. It did not seem to strengthen my strands and I continued to have the same issue.
If you like the scent of coconut I would say that this is a nice back up shampoo to have around. However if you are looking to strengthen your beautiful locks, this isn’t the one that will solve your problems.

Would I Repurchase?
Hmmm … no .I don’t think it’s worth it.
