You guys know how obsessed I am with Clarins lip oils (Red Berry, Raspberry). Recently, Clarins came out with four new shades (Candy, Mint, Tangerine, Honey Glam) and I got all four of them. The shade that I will be reviewing today is called “04 Candy.”

My Experience with Clarins Instant Light Lip Comfort Oil Candy:
The packaging is simple and elegant – this lip oil comes packaged in a transparent plastic bottle with a golden cap. I love that you can see how much product you have used up. The applicator is a huge round and flat sponge tip applicator, so you can coat your lips evenly in a single swipe. At times, I hate the fact that it has a huge sponge applicator because application can get messy when you want a precise application.
These lip oils are like cushion for the lips. They have a gel formula that isn’t sticky but have a mirror-like shine. Unlike YSL lip oil, they have a thick texture that is going to stay put on your lips for hours.
“Candy” has a pink tint to it. The color is very sheer and doesn’t show up on the lips that well, but still makes my lips look juicy and beautiful. I prefer using lip oils at night since they feel intensely hydrating on the lips and feels very comfortable and lightweight on the lips.
This lip oil provides hydration and softens up my lips, but it wouldn’t heal chapped lips. The hydration that it provides will help quite well though. Having used lip oils for years now, I feel the condition of my lips has improved tremendously. They have become soft and feel less dry, and they don’t get chapped that often. Whenever I read the term “oil,” I get the picture of a thin and runny liquid, but this lip oil by Clarins doesn’t move around once you apply them on to your lips. “Candy” has a sweet scent and the scent softens and fades within 10 to 15 minutes.
