Clarins Multi-Active Day Cream SPF 20 Review

Price and Quantity: $53 for 50ml
Product Description:  Helps visibly minimize fine lines and boost radiance. Fights the effects of daytime stress. Encapsulated Teasel extract delivers targeted revitalizing and anti-aging action to where your skin needs it most. Myrothamnus extract visibly smoothes, tones and de-stresses.
Key Ingredients:
• Organic Teasel
Beneath a prickly exterior, teasel holds a wealth of revitalising virtues. Also known as venus’ basin, the rainwater that collects within its bowl of leaves was used as a cosmetic in ancient times. Helps minimise the look of fine lines and wrinkles caused by a stressful lifestyle.
• Myrothamnus
This hearty plant from the mountains of southern Africa has the ability to survive severe water deprivation. Fights the effects of daytime stress to help visibly minimise fine lines and boost radiance.
• Organic California Poppy
Every morning, the California poppy opens up its spectacular golden flowers, only to close each evening to revitalise itself. Helps absorb the visible harmful effects of late nights and interrupted sleep, so skin looks smooth, toned and rested by morning.
Packaging: This light textured cream comes packaged in a frosted pink coloured jar with a plastic lid and a screw on cap. The plastic lid sits firmly on the mouth of the jar and the screw on cap closes tightly, making the packaging travel-friendly. This pink coloured jar comes packaged in a cardboard box.

My Experience with Clarins Multi-Active Day Cream SPF 20:

I have used Clarins lip products, and this time I decided to try their skincare products for face. As one crosses forty, I feel anti-ageing creams become a necessity. In fact, in today’s stressful world, one should start using anti-aging products in their thirties. Caring for your skin on a daily basis is a must as our skin needs proper cleansing, exfoliating, toning, and nourishment. These steps keep  our skin free from stress, wrinkles, pollutants and free radicals. A properly nourished skin looks healthier, brighter and younger.

Let me share a secret – ten to fifteen years ago, I was so lazy and lethargic that even after being advised and pestered by my close friends, I would never apply a single cream on my face. The excuse – I get pimples easily or my skin is very sensitive or gets irritated. Of course, that’s true, but a lame excuse for not keeping my skin hydrated and nourished. Anyway, it’s never too late to start; for the last four to five years, I have started to care for my facial skin; the credit goes to IMBB and my friends.

Clarins Multi-Active Day Cream

Coming to Clarins multi active day cream with SPF 20, it’s a pink coloured soft and mild textured cream. It does not feel heavy or creamy. It has a beautiful fragrance which lingers on for some time. It helps prevent and minimise fine lines and wrinkles hence gives a younger and firmer looking skin. It has an SPF 20, which helps protect the skin from UV rays and pollutants. It keeps skin hydrated and nourished throughout the day. I apply this cream daily after my morning shower and after cleansing and exfoliating my facial skin. My skin feels smooth, soft, nourished and hydrated. This cream gives a beautiful glow to my face.

Clarins Multi-Active Day Cream Swatch

It applies smoothly and does not dry or irritate my sensitive skin; nor does it make my skin oily or greasy. Before I started using Clarins multi active day cream SPF20, I finished a jar of Lotus Herbals YOUTHRx Anti Ageing Transforming Crème and I feel Clarins one has a much lighter texture. I have used this cream in summers and it feels quite nice. However, I cannot comment if it would be good enough for my combination-dry skin in winters as my skin requires extra nourishment in winters.

Pros of Clarins Multi-Active Day Cream SPF 20:

• Powered with plant extracts
• Helps diminish the first signs of ageing, and restores radiance
• Helps prevent and visibly correct the appearance of fine lines
• Nourishes and keeps the skin hydrated
• Skin feels softer, smoother, and younger
• Gives a radiant glow
• Presence of SPF 20

Cons of Clarins Multi-Active Day Cream SPF 20:

• None in my opinion

IMMB Rating: 5/5
