Clarins Skin Care for Dry Skin – Toner, Blue Orchid Face Oil, Lip Balm

clarins skin care dry skin

Clarins products have become a big part of my skin care routine from past few months and they are just amazing. Totally I am sharing 3 more products that I have been using for a while.

Clarins Extra Comforting Toning Lotion :

This I was reluctant to use initially. Except rose water there has rarely been any toner that has worked for my dry skin. This is probably the only toner that has not made my skin dry, flakey or stretchy. The best thing is the consistency. It had a watery gel like consistency. I take a bit of it in my palms and pat it on my skin. I have been using it both day and night.

It has slightly moisturizing quality. These days it gets super humid in Delhi. So I mostly wash my face, pat this toner and follow up with the sunscreen. It keeps my skin hydrated and soft. The fragrance is sort of powdery and sort of perfumey.I am not a fan of that. Sometimes perfumes can cause allergy or sensitivity for some people. I honestly am enjoying using it because I feel my skin is getting a bit extra rather than just the plain rose water. It does nothing for my pores, but then I don’t have too many. It adds to the basic hydration to my skin and keeps my skin in good condition 24*7,

This includes some good ingredients such as aloe vera, glycerin, linseed oil, castor oil. It is also alcohol free and my skin is totally loving it. 🙂

It comes in a basic non fussy white translucent plastic bottle. I think I’d repurchase it until I find something that is perfume free and works for my skin.

Clarins Blue Orchid Face Treatment Oil : This product is sheer love if you love to apply oils on your skin. It is a 100% plants extracts oil. I look forward to applying it every night on my skin. I apply toner and take a few drops of this oil between my palms and just pat it on my skin. And witha few massage strokes it rub it in  my skin. My skin gets all soaked up and feels supple. I apply it at least half an hour before going to bed. I let it soak completely in my skin. It’s an oil and it takes a few minutes to get absorbed.

It smells so soothing and calming. In fact, I believe that  lavender-ish kind of fragrance kinda soothes my senses and helps me sleep better. It works like a magic. I wake up with soft clean skin every morning. It’s amazing. This so going to be my winter staple especially but in summers also I tend to sleep in A/C so my skin anyway needs something extra even during summers.

It comes in a glass bottle with a glass dropper. The dropper makes it easier to use. But the glass bottle is difficult to travel with. I took it on my Agra trip. I was scared that the bottle might break. Fortunately, it didn’t. I would prefer a more sturdy packaging.

Clarins Moisture Replenishing Lip Balm: This lip balm is very good but I feel it’s expensive for a lip balm. I have been using it for a while now and I somehow don’t remember when I had dry lips last. The best thing I find about this lip balm is that once you apply it in the morning, you dont feel the need to keep reapplying it. It keeps lips soft and supple. It also repairs the dry lips. The texture is light and non waxy. It gets absorbed easily and leaves lips soft . It comes in a basic blue tube packaging, which I LOVE. This keeps the lip balm hygienic through out. So overall, nothing to dislike about. 🙂
