My Experience :

I have dry skin so oils on my skin work as miracle products. I use the oil cleansing method on and off but since I always have to mix one or two oils together I end up not doing the process as much as I’d like to do. This product really came as a lovely surprise. I started using it with a bit of doubt thinking that it wouldn’t work as well as the regular natural oils. But I was proved wrong.

Clarins Total Cleansing Oil is basically a very lightweight and lightly scented oil. I apply the oil on my face and gently massage the oil in my skin with my finger tips. Then I moisten my finger tips with water and keep rubbing the oil in circular motion on my face. The oil turns into a milky emulsion and after a minute or two I was my face with warm water and pat it dry with towel. I have to say that it removes every last trace of makeup form my skin. At first I was not too convinced that it removes every bit of makeup so I used makeup remover after cleansing my face with oil. Nothing came out. 😛 Sometimes I would remove my makeup with wet wipe first and them use the oil. In my head it is more satisfying for me. 😀

But this product works! and it works brilliantly.

It comes in an easy to use pump bottle. The oil is ready to be used. You give a mini massage to your skin everyday. Every last trace of makeup comes off from your skin. Has a mild soothing fragrance. Leaves skin soft, hydrated. Does not leave any oily residue behind.Never broke me out. Makes my skin look soooo good at the end of the day.

I don’t use it for removing eye makeup so I don’t know if it would remove mascaras or not.

The only con I’d list is that it has mineral oil in it. It may break out some people. Plus it is a cheapy ingredient.A brand as great as Clarins can definitely skip using it in their products.

Overall, a brilliant product and it has become a must have for me.:)

I use coconut oil on my face at night during winters. Even though I have a very oily skin, coconut oil doesn’t break me out and works as a good moisturiser.

  5. Will definately try this Rati. *thankyou* For winters my otherwise refinery prone skin too needs some pampering.
Saloni please share your ‘my oil removes the eye make-up with so much ease” what is MY Oil *secret* here…?

  6. Im in love with my Shu Umeura Cleansing OIl – thank you for the opportunity to try that fab a product! I dread the day the bottle will become empty. This sounds like an interesting locally available alternative. But thanks for the heads up on mineral oil – not too happy about that. Rati, whats the price point for this one?
