As the winters are here, my combination skin has become dry; also, I have sensitive skin.  So, harsh winds have caused a lot of problems on my skin including pimples, broken skin, papules. I was very frustrated for a few days, but then I decided to give some pampering treatment to my skin and devote some extra time towards to its care. I changed my entire skin care regimen and made it suitable for cold weather suiting combination, sensitive , acne prone skin. If you have similar skin, you might find this one useful.  The product I am reviewing today is part of my new skin care regimen which I have been using for 2 weeks now. Clean and Clear has a whole line of products for acne-prone skin which contains different concentrations of salicylic acid. I have not used other products from this line, but this is the one I can vouch for completely.

Directions For Use:

Because this is a medicine, it’s super important to start with clean skin.  So wash your face then apply a thin layer (think pea-size amount) over your face. You can do this up to 3 times a day.  If your skin starts to dry out or peel, reduce your use to once a day.  If you’re heading outside, for goodness sake wear sunscreen.

Ingredients:

Active: 0.5% salicylic acid.

My Experience with Clean and Clear Advantage Acne Control Moisturizer:

Product comes in a pump dispenser bottle and I love the packaging. It is very sturdy, travel friendly and very user friendly. Product itself is white in color and two pumps give sufficient amount to cover my entire face.  When I started using it, I had a lot of breakouts on my cheeks and forehead and I had some dryness on the corners of my nose. Seriously, this is my first winters in USA and I had no idea how much moisture these harsh winds and indoor heating takes away from my skin. My skin actually started to peel. I was a little skeptical towards using this on my already dry skin because it has salicylic acid, but I wanted to treat my acne too. So I was looking for a lotion with minimum essential concentration of salicylic acid which can treat acne without over drying or peeling and guess what, I got the perfect combination in this product.

Within 2 weeks of continuous application, it has shown considerable results. I apply it 2 -3 times a day after cleansing and toning my face. And it makes my skin so smooth and supple that I just want to touch and caress it again and again, but I don’t 😛 It has definitely prevented new breakouts but you should know that I have also changed other things in my skin care.  So, it might be a altogether effect of everything included but whenever I apply this, I get a feeling that this is the perfect moisturizer for my skin and it is working. We all know that these things take time to work, I still have some redness and 1 or 2 pimples here and there, but my skin is much better than before.  It has a very nice soothing and mild fragrance which doesn’t irritate sensitive nose and has the perfect consistency to spread it on face easily.

• If you are using other prescribed acne medication, it might not suit your skin, please consult your doctor.
• Does not contain sunscreen.

Perfect skin moisturizer for normal to oily, sensitive, and acne-prone skin.  I like it more than my Neutrogena Oil-Free Moisturizer.
